At Five50 for lunch. Sinatra is out for tonight...we may do that another night. Just too much fun playing already to be ready in time for dinner!!

Down a few hundred already, but in good shape.

Made my largest craps bet ever.

    $30 presses to $60, then $120, then $240.

Won a little bit on that roll and then gave some backs.

You will be happy to know all five drinks I have had in the past two hours have gone better than my first of the day!

When I have a trip scheduled I eat this board for breakfast, lunch and dinner. How else am I going to find out what I might try?

Were you pressing your line bet? I’ve completed the dollar hard eight to a hundy about three times. Letting $120 ride must have been a thrill!

I put $12 or $30 and did a full presses to $60, then pressed to $90, and $120. Won at $120 and pressed to $240... I was not on the pass line; only the 6/8.

Having $120 or more out there on a single bet is a thrill...but it was also interesting to see a guy with >$100k in $5,000 chips...

We had a fun afternoon. Not very warm today, so the pool was out for us.

Took a siesta and now we are headed to Wynn to see John Fogerty.

We have >11,000 points today. The win/loss statement is off. I am glad I did not lose as much as they think I did!

I’m a red chip player and buy in at a hundred. Once my wife dared me to up my game. Bought in for five hundred and my mantra was ‘green is the new red.’ So I played my normal game using green for red and red for white. After about ten rolls the dealers were pushing me blacks and my heart rate was through the roof. I made about three hundred bucks in five minutes and had to cash. The dealers all said, “Don’t you want to stay and win more money?” I was literally shaking and said no, I’ve won enough money for now.

Alllegro was a nice spot for a drink. The bartenders were friendly and the service was good. I also had the clams and mussels appetizer--it was really good!

Yes, we did use the airport pickup. We added a bottle of champagne for the ride. The driver was great!

    John Fogerty

Easily the best show I've seen in Vegas. Instead of the usual 60-90 minutes, his show was a full two hours of great music and fun. The guy can play some guitar! it was a nice mix of hits and covers. He did some talking about his career and there were some short videos, but there was a whole lot of music. His band was tight. One of his sons played guitar and banjo...he was good, too.

My wife went tot the show thinking that she did not know much of his music and came out extremely happy that I picked up the show. She gave me a lot of good-natured ribbing about going before the show; not a word after...

    Encore Gambling

We walked over to the Encore for a bit of gambling before we headed back.

Unimpressive. I know there are a lot of fans of Encore, but the casino vibe was horrible for a Saturday night at 11 in Vegas. The drink service? Non-existent. We only stayed an hour and got out of there...just not fun at all. We lost, but only $20 or so... We won't be headed back soon...

After a little gambling at Aria, we headed back to the room for a late night snack...

Not to hijack your thread but me and my wife have a 6/8 press bet schedule that we stick to in order to see how high we can get.

    6
    6
    12
    18
    24
    30
    60
    90
    120
    150

    450
    600
    750
    1500
    2250
    3000
    6000
    9000
    12000

The highest we ever got was $1500 and yeah it was intense. It's a fun "system" because it gives you something to shoot for that concrete and comparable to previous sessions.

Just less than 25,000 tier credits yesterday. We are already Pearl, thanks to the military program. I suspect the higher number of tier credits is due to both a little more $$ in gambling than our normal day and the fact that we are paying for the room.

Hopefully today is a more successful gambling day, but we did not lose our whole daily bankroll yesterday...which is better than happens sometimes! We had a blast...

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!!

I have enjoyed the last thirty minutes or so just watching the airplanes fly in and out of LAS. I made cup of coffee and turned one of the chairs around to face the window so I could watch.

My wife is off to the fitness room. This is one of her reasons for loving Aria. She will run for an hour or so; she's getting ready for another half marathon this fall. I'm running a 10K the same weekend (Disney World), so I need to get my fat ass moving before too long. November will be here quick!!

Thought more about the Encore visit in light of the change in management.. Bad drink service can just be bad luck, but it is really turn off for us. We pay way may than we should for the "free" driks anyway (if you are confused...there is not much here that is truly "free"...), so we should expect decent service. I just won't risk my money, or be quick to go back to, when we get poor drink service.

The did have 3-4-5 odds on crap for the table I was on. I think they may have changed it mid-game but I was not playing the pass line, so I am not sure. A couple of players everyone knew were there and playing with black and higher chips; I am not sure if that had anything to do with it.
