Dumped $250 chasing one more bonus, but it was a good one.

Wonder who thought of putting a QR code on blackjack felt where you can’t have cameras.

Lost or tied all of first buy-in. This is end of second buy-in, which I won and kept going to about $600, then cashed out about even at $400 when the table closed.

My friend was down to $55 and rallied to $1100.

This is the same friend who did that $200 to $13k, and he felt he was on his way to repeating.

I said he was 1/13th the way there.

The entire time he was winning, I was losing, so I was fine cashing out.

I did recommend that he leave as well, since he was a bit up when adding in his wife’s losses.

He moved to another table and I headed to Lucky Penny for second dinner/early breakfast, also thinking perhaps I can get it comped off.

Really didn’t intend to keep playing, but he and his wife said they were on their way to GVR at about 10:20pm when I was in the room, all finished with gambling. I’d suggested seeing Elvis at 10:40pm, but no takers and instead we gambled for 4 hours.

His wife felt a bit nauseous so went to the car to rest. Two guys followed her out. They were security (or supposedly security), but she didn’t know who they were and while in the car was nervously texting that there were two guys following her.

My friend went to the car and the guys said they wanted to make sure she was okay. Ended up being fine, but you’d think the guys would’ve identified themselves instead of crowding around their car.

Mushroom and swiss and spinach omelette. Added chicken sausage that I asked them to mix in with it.

Missed some excitement while eating the omelette.

    B05A3BF8-3B34-49C9-95A5-6B45EAC737DF.jpeg

Headed over to the pit to see how my friend was doing. He came toward me, and I knew from his walk he lost it all. He didn’t know anything about the fight other than what he texted.

I walked him to the hotel area where he caught an Uber home.

Some nighttime pictures of the pool. It’s great that you can just walk around anywhere in the middle of the night.

Same here. Actually never even heard of Unicow before VMB.

@maxev, how would you describe how you get it and what happens when you do? Sorry for the basic question but I may give it a shot when at Wynncore, assuming they have it, but have no clue the Unicow is. Thanks!

They have two machines at Wynn. They're near the Dollar Storms closest to Overlook, Parasol, etc.

I haven't tried the desserts, usually too full from the meal. Yeah, I love the place as well. I still have never been to the Palace Station Oyster Bar, so don't know how it compares, but glad that Tides seems to be a hidden secret.

That's a bad unicow. I figure with a unicow with 200 spins to start, you should expect 300x or so. Invaders Return pays more, Invaders Attack pays less.

Unicow is a rare feature in the Invaders Return/Invaders Attack from the Planet Moolah games. On the reels are stacks of cow wilds that can land, and sometimes that wild is replaced with a feature cow (such as doubled free spins, moolah wilds, credits, drop-in wilds, blast) and can also include unicow. Whenever unicow lands, you'll hear its dulcet calling tones.

If you have a win that goes through any feature wild, you win that feature. Same with the unicow wild, where you "capture" it. You can see all my unicow captures (including misses) in this and previous TRs.

Then the fun begins! Unicow gives you all of the feature wilds, and also sets you up to win a lot of spins (up to 400) with the moolah feature. When you have moolah, there are credits on every cow wild, and if you have a win that goes through that wild, you win those credits.

Some of those credits can be huge -- $1000 on a $3.50 bet (in Return) or $400 on a $3 bet (in Attack). They do have configurations with multi-denom so you can bet much higher. Palazzo's max bet goes to $10.50 on Return.

I'd say unicow is very similar to the Super Grand Chance in Dollar Storm.

Ah, didn't know that! When I last stayed at Wynn in January, I didn't see any of the cow games at Wynn or Encore. Looks like I'll now have to book a return trip!

GVR had the best crab legs every Friday in their buffet. You would get your legs, then to another station where they would dunk it in a spicy sauce.

Still closed, likely not reopening. But a lot of space to just go to waste.

Yeah, from what I've heard from my friends that work in HR for Stations, they aren't planning to reopen the buffets. Really sucks. They should do something with the space, that's not casino related, imo.

Also if you get a chance, the pan roast at the oyster bar at Sunset Station is even better than Tides!

They must have arrived after that.
They weren't there Christmas. But they were there for my April h June trips. Share a 4-machine pod with Marvelous Mouse.

They seem a little different from Cosmo machines. But I'm not a Cow enthusiast. I didn't know Return and Attack were variations.

It was 11:30am, checkout at noon. Do I shower or do a brief stint at the fitness center?

Heck, I bought new shoes, a shirt, shorts, and socks just for this, so let’s go!

Such a nice walk to get there.

The Pond, a pool that’s open on the weekends to everyone but I suspect it’s really to get away from the kids in the main pool with the sandy beach, was starting up with music and cocktails.

    CE324EC6-0689-4F39-9D3C-5DDBE801625D.jpeg

And again through the grape orchard.

    7C9E2D5A-3FF5-4FA6-84E1-EE75FB26A579.jpeg

More people this time, so wasn’t able to get a photo of the other side of the gym.

It’s smallish but has everything and constantly attended. I’d take a bottled water from the fridge, and a guy would immediately replace it. The people at the front desk are friendly too, “Enjoy your workout” at the beginning and “Enjoy your day” at the end.

    Highly recommend this fitness center.

I did upper body stuff and cooled down on the bicycle.

    A7B343E5-FBE6-41A3-AE07-FA25C6598936.jpeg

Twenty minutes total, then headed back via the spa side.

Back in the room with 5 minutes to spare. Could use a shower, but had to pack.

A peek in the hall, and no one. Maybe I could extend a bit.

Bathroom break to splash my face and packing took me to noon and wouldn’t you know it, a knock on the door. I said two minutes, and I took one, packing up the remainder and headed out.

Through the corridor, I passed a guy in a suit showing a woman (60s, spray tan, dark black hair) to her room. He said that if she wants to go to a restaurant on the Strip, they can arrange a car for her. She said, “What if I want a gigolo?”

I didn’t pause to check if she was joking, just continued to the front desk.

Before the fitness center, I popped down to the rewards desk to see if a host on duty could comp off my $31 charges.

I also asked my point earning since I arrived on Wednesday. 15,100. It’s 1 point per $1 coin-in for slots, 1 point for $2 coin-in for video poker. 1 point for $12 coin-in for bubble craps. Table games not included.

So that’s about $15k coin-in, which at CET, I figure $5k per night is good to cover the room. That’s also $15 in comps, which would’ve been $150 if I were a local for the 10x Thursdays.

I didn’t think $31 would break the bank, but I was denied.

Stations is pretty tight when it comes to comps or anything really. Especially for out-of-towers. I don’t really understand that, since it wasn’t always that way. But they’ve made a conscious change to be worse than CET.

With the 10x, playing slots at Stations is like playing with a 5x at CET.

But without the 10x, Stations is actually worse than CET. By half. And I’ve always found CET to be the worst casino group in terms of earning and comp dollars.

Discounting the better paytables, the same goes for video poker.

It’s a shame, because I really like staying and playing at GVR and Red Rock (and Sunset and Palace before). But as a player who mostly plays for the meta game of points and status, there really isn’t any reason to stick with Stations unless you’re a local.

    Even with my recent upgrade.

    0135655D-9AD3-4FED-ABD8-6E08B4C3BBA3.jpeg 3A54E8D8-3B1B-4109-A21C-361EA21B66F3.jpeg

So I’m basically going to look forward to using up my free 3-nighters through September, playing minimally (I always say that but need to stick to it), then changing my address to Nevada so I can take better advantage of some of the perks. Such as the 10x and the numerous discounts like 20% off the spa.

Took an Uber in a snazzy red Charger (not pictured).

    E30DE4BC-04F6-4BAC-9ABE-19E2835911EF.jpeg

This plaque is at the front of GVR. I want to turn it upside down and see if it draws out the swingers (which is my understanding of an upside-down pineapple symbol). Or maybe GVR is already teeming with an Eyes Wide Shut vibe, and I just haven’t noticed it.

    53FA9EC7-34CF-4D85-8196-3C3497BA1FDE.jpeg

This is the second and final week of June extra freeplay at Virgin, and I’m taking full advantage. (Last year they had three weeks, this year only two.)

Tipped in advance this time, to wait for me at the first stop of Virgin before continuing to Harrah’s.

I said I’d be 7 minutes max, and I’d meet him at the rideshare area. Figure that saves me 1 minute, as he’d loop around valet to the rideshare pickup.

I set a timer to check. Went in, plopped down at $1 video poker, converted my $250 freeplay to $205, no host greeting this time, cashed out, and left.

    Four minutes total.

I saw the red car when I exited, and instead of waiting, he zoomed over to pick me up.

At Harrah’s, he brought out my bag and I handed him another tip, which I always do in cash to avoid taxes and also as a bribe to give me 5 stars (currently 4.91 on Uber).

    He refused!

I’m guessing he was content enough with the first tip, but that one was just for waiting since he’d be idling with AC and using up gas.

Never had an Uber driver refuse a tip before.

I’ll consider this lucky money and see where it takes me.

Total Uber was the same price quoted — $19.33. No extra fee for waiting, and basically the same without the extra stop.

Checked into Harrah’s at Diamond check-in with Debbie, who upgraded me to a studio and said my theo is 370. (FYI @Tarpie if looking to ask for someone else by name to give your theo.)

A low score, but understandable since my last trip here (um, last week) over 6 nights had most of my play at Caesars.

That theo is just for Harrah’s, not combined CET, which they can no longer see. I figure I would’ve gotten the upgrade anyway, but not sure. A few trips ago, they had to call a host to check.

I’m now in the same room as before but 6 floors higher.

Also staying 6 nights again and paying $35 + tax for one.

Posting photos since it’s a bit different — namely, furniture added and removed. I’ve noticed this at CET primarily. Chairs, the divan, pillows (although that’s the case at Cosmo too)… they may be missing from room to room.

This time, the small couch in front of the bed is back but the two chairs at the dining table are gone.

You wonder if people are stealing these things and how they avoid the cameras while carrying them out.

Sorry to hear that. That's sh*t.
Stations is so damn greedy these days. I would not give them a penny of my money.
