Back in town with a different focus.

This was end of last trip:

No one likes pennies or empty bundles and bands (I use the Venetian hair bands to wrap bills).

But considering I’ve basically lost a house with the current crypto dump (particularly my biggest position Terra Luna going to $0… stupid algorithmic bitcoin peg), no amount of gambling losses will be enough to affect me.

So time to go ham. Or not play much at all.

Or go looking for a life change to get my head away from the tanking market.

Lunch interview at Brio (at Town Square) went well. This was interview #5 (#1-4 were video calls). Two more to go next week.

Thought it might be gauche to whip out my camera to snap my salmon fresca, so kept it in my pocket.

This could be fun. Too bad no moolah or super moolah.

Triggered with two cascades past the 200 spin mark.

I’m predicting $1k or so and 250 spins total. Hoping to catch moolah or super moolah.

I hope you end up catching the cows, Buffalo's or whatever animals you need for handpays.

The final 18 spins were dead spins at 1198, then one more spin and I figure I’m safe.

But the final spin pushed me just over to get the league minimum handpay.

Bad, because I have to wait, plus pay taxes and tip.

Following this! I wonder what you’re interviewing for, and will this end up as another living in Vegas thread? I hope it goes well, whatever you do.

Amidst two “congratulations,” I switched to another machine and dumped $600 pretty fast without anything interesting. Cow giveth and cow taketh.

    Handpay took 15 minutes.

Now onto Planet Hollywood for some video poker and Starbucks.

Thanks pebbles. Doubt I’d do a @luck.ofthe.draw or @notfromconcentrate but if I did move here, I’d probably do TRs when staying at the hotels.

Or heck, I should put my stuff in storage and see how long I could bounce around hotels. What money I’d save on rent would go straight to gambling.

That would be awesome! We could learn so much to help our post covid 6 week trips be more cost efficient. Last trip was Oct/Nov 2019, and we miss it so much. From reading reports like yours, (casino based) and others who take a rental, we can learn a lot.

Bally’s room. They had me in Jubilee but I switched to Resort since it’s relatively newer and quieter (away from Paris’ Chateau nightclub).

I don’t stay at Bally’s too often, but the rooms are perfectly fine with big desks and nice chairs.

Just one night, then Virgin tomorrow. Don’t have anything booked after, but it might be smelly Harrah’s because interview #6 (which is with the person I’d be replacing) is lunch at Palazzo. I’d stay there, but don’t think I’ll be playing much next week.

While checking in at the Diamond checkin, a guy was chatting up the front desk agent. He then heads away and says, “Give me a shoutout sometime.”

    Celeste says she did.

Guy then delays my checkin a minute longer as he makes sure she has his digits.

    Planet Hollywood playing cow.

Attractive woman in her 20s sits down at the Return to Crystal Forest game (same game as cow but New Agey and no mooing) next to me and starts playing.

A few minutes later, a guy approaches her and says, “Absolutely beautiful.”

We both look up at him.

He continues when he sees me, “… you and your boyfriend.”

She says to him, referencing me, “That’s not my boyfriend. That’s him over there.”

    I stay silent.

    Thanks guys.

"I'm her father, actually. So back off, buddy."

Not that you're old. But wouldn't it be great to mess with the guy?

Good luck hopefully they extend an offer to you. Also if these first few post indicate the type of trip you are going to have it should be fun. Enjoy and win big

Seriously debating on doing this if I get the remote job I want. Not right away of course, but once my lease is up..... could be a good way to save some money before moving again.

@maxev - following. I was wondering what is your strategy for comps as a local if you move to Vegas. Are you gonna change your casino records to your mom or your sister’s address? Skip it if that’s too personal

Don’t take this the wrong way but seeing all your frustrations with this slot over the last few trips makes me have 0 desire to ever play it. I’m actually a little sick just seeing one.

lol I was debating whether to try it during my last trip for the same reason :haha: Luckily Four Queens offers a low minimum bet (35 cents a spin; I think some casinos require at least double that :hmmm:). I’d say it’s maybe the only slot I would play where a large part of the reason is entertainment value; the animations and sound effects are funny and the cows are cute in their own odd way :evillaugh:
