maxev Live TR isn’t your birthday over yet in Vegas 9/26-10/1

After seeing the promise of his first TR, I had high hopes when purchasing with the free shipping. But what arrived was a plodding plot of the same story over thousands of posts signifying nothing but losing and pizza beds. This is Vegas! Where are the showgirls, the million dollar wins, the After Dark Diddy scandals? Where’s the happy ending and the Happy Ending? The depressing maxev character just keeps losing all the time, and each TR is just a repeat of the previous one with the dates changed even if he wins the Grand. He could socialize some more and maybe get a girlfriend but goodness we don’t need to see pictures of his half-eaten food all the time. Will not order again. 0.5 stars, and only that because I like cows.

“Is maxev going to the happy hour?”

“No, he’s going to Vegas.”

“What, again? Wasn’t he just there last weekend?”

Wow that's impressive you actually tell people in your office that you're going to Vegas!! Whenever I'm heading to LV and anyone in my office asks about my plans I tell them I'm going to Nantucket.

 

Had to this time since I took Tuesday off.

But yeah, better keep that on the down low.

I hate those people. Can never figure out where they are trying to go. Or why they seem to miss the third rail.

 

This weekend is the rest of the birthday week that had been interrupted, with K arriving tomorrow and my sister arriving today (unrelated… well, she’s related to me but not here for the bday trip).

Really didn’t want to keep going back and forth, because it weighed heavily on all my miles, but they should be spent anyway, eh? My mother has been pruning down her house, selling stuff for cheap or giving away to anyone expressing interest. Time for me to do the same.

 

Several people have exited and bailed. Or maybe they’re joining the people on the tracks.

Figure I’m good another 20 minutes, then I’ll have to Uber.

They made a second announcement.

 

My sister got me this for my birthday, which is funny because I was going to get her the same thing but with a different video.

I thought it would change or there would be an easy way to upload something new, but it stays on the animated aquarium like a Windows 95 screensaver.

 

And we’re moving!

K is staying for free at Harrah’s. I earned Diamond on her card and she’s still been reaping the benefits — she just returned from a free junket flight to Tahoe and had free tickets to a show.

It’s great that I don’t have to get her a room, where I feel I need to play so offers don’t go down. And I don’t this time, but double-booked Caesars for Garth Brooks, which I’m giving to her for her birthday gift (we’re a week apart). I don’t care for Garth, she’s going with a friend, and I’ll have extra gambling time.

 

I’m falling asleep on the train. Hope that happens on the plane.

 

A bunch of stuff planned in advance, which I’m normally not good with since it locks me in.

Most looking forward to the Four 6666 popup at Wynn. It was just the two of us but two others wanted to go, and a call to the restaurant said there was no possibility of adjusting.

But a quick text to my host and she made it happen. Hosts are good for some things.

 

Long week at work, which included hosting the bigwigs for a day. Meaning it killed a day of work that I’m already behind.

They went around and met everyone individually, saying thank you for choosing us (who says that!), then I gave a presentation on what’s to come in 2025, then we christened a new empty office space (that we will likely move into by the end of the year) with speeches and beer and wine.

We’ve grown like weeds, and the company supports us, despite missing our first deadline. We had to wheel out tables in the hall with power extension cords for the remote people, most of whom who decided to come in for the event.

Then Uber herded some of the cats to sushi, where they fortunately kept our table of 12, half an hour after the reservation.





Had 3 of the megatrons, a three-level bento box. That plus alcohol was a bargain compared to what a steakhouse would’ve cost.

Really wanted to give my card for loyalty points since I had a 2x, but would’ve been gauche.

 

Conked out last night then awoke early this morning in time to do laundry.

Didn’t need to do it, but had the time.
