I'm new to slots always played table games. When I do play slots I always max bet. Should I not be max betting every machine I play?
Always play max lines. Whether you play max bet or not is up to you. It varies by machine, payoff setup and why you are playing that machine. But as a general rule play at least enough to activate all the bonuses if the machine has them.
Yes, max bet is often what you need to activate certain bonuses, but the returns on higher denominated machines are generally better. You're often better off putting $3 or $5 in a dollar slot, especially a non-themed one, versus putting a $3 or $5 max bet in a penny slot.
Depends on the progressive. There are no absolute rules outside of play max lines, especially if we are talking video slots. For reel slots, the game rules tend to encourage max bets but it all depends on the game rules.
You never know as i've seen someone hit 9k playing 8 cents. Game was called jackpot streak. Not playing max lines or bet, it was the least he could play. For me find the machines you enjoy playing and learn (usually the info button) on how they work. Not all machines are created equally.
If there were a "best way to play" all machines we'd all be winners. Don't get overwhelmed. Play something you enjoy at a level you can afford to make it fun. An old $1 three reel may have the best rate of return but that doesn't mean you will enjoy that machine without a big screen and animated characters or that you will not drop a quick C note with 0 return. I've been sitting at a machine playing $4max and get a $24 bonus round and see the person sitting next to me get a $240 bonus playing 30 cents.
There is another thread here that sort of discusses this. It is not always required to play max bet. Also, if you want to stretch you money, you may want to seek out those machine where max bet isn't required.
Just make sure u play all lines , i dont always play max bet ( simply dont have the bankroll for it )
