That might trump my other upcoming trip, to 'Bama. lol (Then again, you are from the part of the world that loves banjos!) But we do have Kauai in September. Have fun down there, island girl.
You cant go wrong there,Ken I'm sure you'll be playing all the big name courses and eating at all the best restaurants. None of those touristy luaus for you buddy. Too bad for me,it's just too far from here unless we stop in LV going and coming
I do have a trip to Austin in May - but that's work (I am excited because I've never been and will go early if possible to explore a little) I'm not even much of a tropics person - I hate sand and I don't like swimming in the ocean. But I want to sail, and sailing is good in the BVIs, so Meanwhile, my husband will snorkel and I'll be sporting one of these :evillaugh I'd love to go to Hawaii again - have been to Maui but would love to explore other places. It's just such a long dang flight from the east coast....If I'm going to be on a plane that long, I want to go someplace I haven't seen yet
Luaus. Mmmm, buffet. lol We eat across the spectrum over there. Some of the best food comes from Hawaii's great tradition of road-side eats. And taking that day's fish home, grilling it over kiawe, serving it with tropical salsa ... perfect simplicity perfected. Proximity is so important to travel.
ken2v back in late 80's when my Father died we all went to Maui to clear our heads a bit and stayed at Turtle bay was a awesome place I don't even know if they still exist but anyways have fun man--Golf par I know ya can
I know Turtle Bay on Oahu. Here's the 17th (Palmer Course): Hawaii is a good place to connect and recharge with family after something like that. Glad you could share it together.
Don't tell my parents. My poor mother is heartbroken about not spending their 50th anniversary in Maui as planned. My dad had a series of strokes and his doctor doesn't want him to fly. Have a great trip!
