Just made a reservation last night for Mastro's. Looking for some feedback from others who have eaten there. Thank you in advance.

Ate there once a few years ago and remember it being excellent. My only other memory was that I ate too much and crashed for the rest of the evening

If I could marry a restaurant, it would be Mastro's. The service is impeccable and the food is fantastic.

Three more words, warm butter cake! Save room for it. We eat at Mastro's quite a bit, it's our favorite restaurant. We've never had a bad meal ther and the service is always impeccable. We rarely get an appetizer because we want it save room for the cake but last year we had the Vanilla Battered Shrimp. It was wonderful. I've had the filet, Dover sole and halibut and have never been disappointed. Hubby usually has the NY strip. We took friends once and they had the chicken. The lobster mashed potatoes are decadent. You can order the salads and sides in maker portions although it's not on the menu. Even the smaller portions are plenty for 2.
    Now I'm hungry..........

Walked by many times. Never thought about eating there.
Is it part of Mlife - can I charge back to room and/or use Express Comp

Pricing - yea I know it is expensive... just found a menu with prices online $14 for potatoe, $16 for desert...

Reviews on Yelp are very strong.

    Hmmmm

I know you used to be able to go to the mlife desk and exchange your EC for a voucher you could use there. But you could not simply swipe your card and use EC the way you can at restaurants in the resort

I had never heard of that process for an mlife comps. I now CET does that for a Mon Ami if you do not have a room to charge back to.

That is what my Aria host told me years ago. So no idea if that is still how it works

I called Mastro's as well as Bellagio. I was told by both that yes, you can charge back to your room.

I liken Mastros with Prime at Bellagio. The food is about the same. Aside from the steak, the one thing I love the most was the portabello mushrooms.

I've eaten at Mastro's in both LA and in Vegas - both had incredible food, great atmosphere and fantastic service. My Vegas experience was last year, and my Manfriend and I split all of the dishes that we ordered: an appetizer (bone marrow probably but I don't quite recall), a Caesar salad, the Gorgonzola mac'n'cheese, a ribeye, warm butter cake (do it - it really is life-changing), and a - ahem - modestly priced bottle of Champagne (I think it was Scharffenberger). We couldn't finish the mac, steak, or butter cake but definitely took the leftovers to go...I think that you can ask for half-portions of the sides, and I would recommend doing so if you can.

All said and done, inclusive of a 20% tip, I think we came in right around $250. For the experience, service, setting, and food...I don't have to tell you that $250 is practically a steal for all of that on the Vegas strip. We were able to charge the meal back to our MLife room, which was another bonus.

The one complaint we had about the meal is that our ribeye was a bit underseasoned, which was unfortunate. It was still quite flavorful and perfectly cooked to order (on the rare side of medium-rare) so it wasn't a huge deal and, based on the many positive reviews, I think that we may have just received a steak that didn't quite get enough salt as is normal.
