After MGM National Harbor had the blockbuster October compared to 10/21, November was a return to normalcy. November 2022 numbers compared to November 2021: State at 163.4 million, up 1.9 percent from November 2021 Live! at 57.1 million, down 1.8 percent from November 2021 Horseshoe at 16.3 million, up 4.2 percent from November 2021 (two straight gainers for the 'Shoe?) MGMNH at 71.6 million, up 5.5 percent from November 2021 Three smaller casinos combined at 18.6 million, down 1.8 percent from November 2021 State won 5.2 million in sports betting in October 2022.

Notable was a 41 percent increase for Ocean Downs and a 17 percent increase for Rocky Gap State won 2.9 million in sports betting in December 2022.
The numbers these casinos make with the awful comps they give is just crazy. Maybe AC should start a free bus from MD to AC to get all this play.
Made my first visit to MGMNH today since October. Tables at 3 pm: Carny, 6/5 blackjack, and 3/2 Pontoon mostly $25 with a few $50 sprinkled in. One of the UTH tables was a hundo. Roulette a mix of $25 and $50. Open tables were 7 00 and 6 000. Saw 2 other 00 tables on the floor that were closed. Craps: Five out of the 10 tables in the pit were open, three $25 and two $50. Two of the open tables were crapless (one $25 and one $50). Notably, three out of the 10 tables are now crapless (was two last year). 3/2 H17 blackjack: two $50, two $75, two $100. I could swear there had been a few 3/2 S17 tables on the main floor in the past, but that no longer appears to be the case. HL: 3/2 S17 and single 0 roulette both at $200. The big stadium area in the center of the casino which allows folks to bet on either craps, roulette, or UTH had a $5 minimum today.
Found some interesting states on the AGA page. https://www.americangaming.org/resources/aga-commercial-gaming-revenue-tracker/ If you scroll down to the top 20 casinos outside of NV, 2 of the top 5 are in MD. Guess location matters (ignoring the Horseshoe cause WTF CET?) since both Live and MGMNH have some of the worst VP pay tables, Table game rules, and comps I've seen anywhere. Yet they are both pulling huge numbers.
Interesting chart. Its all about where the population is. Wasn't the old saying that a third of the US population was within a gas tank of Atlantic City (I'm probably misremembering the quote)? Wonder how much Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun bring in these days? Also, I'd love to see where some of the individual Strip casinos would fall on the chart.
At some point they'll post NV numbers at AGA I assume. I think its harder to get the details for NV cause they don't require them to report per property like other states.

Decided to do a lap around MGMNH tonight (Friday) around 1030 pm: Carny and 6/5 mostly $25, although I did see several $15 6/5 tables and one $15 Casino War table. 3/2 Pontoon mainly $50, although there were a couple of $25 tables. Three of the seven $50 tables were crapless. 3/2 H17 mostly $50, but......there were a couple of $25 HL 3/2 S17 ranged from $200-500. Two single 0 roulette tables in there, both at $300

Too bad. I would use a bus to avoid driving on holiday weekends. Just there would need to be affordable parking near the bus stop. The parking costs at DCA is crazy stupid.
No sir, that's someone else. I drive 3.5 hrs in. I mention DCA cause I get junket offers but they make no sense cause parking is $29/day at DCA for a 4 night trip that's $145 in parking fees.
Stopped by MGMNH around midnight last night (Saturday) on my way back into town: Almost all 6/5 was $25, with a few higher. Almost all UTH was $50, with the rest of carny (3CP, 4CP, War) $25. 3/2 Pontoon was $50. Seven out of the 16 roulette tables open on the main floor were $100 minimum. Rest were mostly $50, with a couple $75. All 10 craps tables open. Six were $50 and four were $25. Three of the 10 were crapless and were all $50. Almost all 3/2 H17 on the main floor and Blossom was $50, with a few higher. HL 3/2 S17 mainly $200. The single 0 roulette table in there was $500.

Looks like Maryland took back the #3 spot for US gaming markets from Chicagoland. https://www.americangaming.org/resources/state-of-the-states-2023/ Now my question is: Why are comps so bad in Maryland then?
