Martinr Takes His 20th Trip to The Strip and It's in 2020!

My 20th trip to Vegas starts in the morning. Of course, my April trip was left in the dust, so it felt like the time was right to take the plunge.
My TRs are not journals of debauchery and escapades. Usually, I'm solo and they're a mixture of slot porn, food porn and possibly misc. observations.
Flying out of Memphis on Delta with a change of planes in SLC. First Class both flights. I'm interested to experience flying during this time period. My expectations of the normal perks in FC are not very high, so, anything that goes better than low expectations will be a plus. Only 3 people in FC including me! My return flights are on SWA connecting in Houston Hobby.
Not a lot of plans but after 19 trips, plans don't seem exciting, especially with there not being any entertainment. I may eat a couple of meals in the room and venture out for others. So, a lot depends on the "feel" of the trip. My wife and I have only eaten in a restaurant once since March, so I'm going to play it by ear.

This sounds exactly like my trip so I’ll be reading closely. I’m interested to know if they are upgrading people into first class when the cabin isn’t full. I know they only book 50% and blocking 2nd seats next to solo. Two of my four flights are fairly open in first and the other 2 are sold out with 9 or 10 of the 20 seats occupied.

I’m wondering how comfortable you feel eating in a restaurant. I’m going to plan to only eat in my room unless the place seems empty. It’s the one place where masks won’t be worn along with lots of talking and open mouth chewing.

I am hoping once I’m there I will feel more comfortable and will be able to avoid crowds. Hope you feel that way too.

Best of luck Martin! Just left there late Sunday afternoon & was extremely pleased with the high number of people wearing their masks properly...seldom saw anyone without one. Spacing was an issue in many areas but I would just avoid those places & move to a place I felt more comfortable. It was a different type of trip but one that I was prepared for....just needed it sooooo bad. Hope you have a great time....oh - I left plenty of $$ for you to take home.....Enjoy....will be following along!
