    My Trip Report

    March 26-29 report

I might not be able to do all 4 days in one setting so I will break it up day by day or summarize.

    Day 1:
Bought a 3 day monorail pass using a BOGO so only 28 bucks for both of us. Had dinner at Pepi De Bucca itialian at Ballys. Yum ! We had a $15 off $30 coupon but the salad bread and meal was perfect.

Went to MGM Grand by monorail and played VP at centerfuge and also at the new Loosers Lounge country bar. Both places had VP and hit big on both locations :). Both places had a small crowd but MGM was very packed.
Wanted to play at Whiskey Down but it was packed and although the bar was packed people were not playing the machines just sitting there playing on their cell phones. Bummer.

Normally we play quarter DDB but this trip play quarter Triple Double Bonus and did much better than last trip. Most machines were 8-5 or 9-6 .

Decided to ride the monorail to SLS and walk to the new Lucky Draggon. SLS was dead. Maybe 10 people in the place. Walked to the new casino just across the street and it's really nice but it was also dead and so very bright. Maybe 10 people here counting security. You almost need sungalasses in there. I asked why so bright and bar tender said everyone asks the same question but does not know why the manager likes it so bright. Played at the center VP bar ( there is also a small VP bar upstairs) and won a couple hundred but left due to my new sun tan from the bright lights:). Hope they make it but they really need some people inside badly. Tyrone is a great bar tender also.

Walked back to the SLS and took the monorail to Harrahs. Stopped in at Toby Keith's for some country music and VP at the bar. Jay the bar tender is always great but the the VP machines has never hit for us here. But the music is always great here.

Grabbed the free shuttle to Rio and played some VP at the shutters VP bar. The bar tenders here are always outstanding and treat customers really good. The bartenders are David, Santiago, Michael, Marie and christen. Won another couple hundred hits twice and headed out for the hotel and a sleep after a busy day.

    Day 2-4

Putting together the highlights of the remaining days instead of day by day.

Had good eats at the Rio buffet and yes it was very good. Had breakfast at Hash House and it was also good.

Played at the TAG VP bar and won a good hit. Played at the new Alta VP bar at Cearers but no luck. Played at the Rio Shutters VP bar again and OMG it was cranking the tickets with big hits and I do mean cranking them out for both of us :). Just got lucky and sit down at two good seats. Let's just say the entire trip was paid for by the Rio:). Wooooo whoooioo

Checked out the VP play at Palms ( first time there since Station took over) very disappointed at the new Hooters there . Could not get anyone to wait on us even at the bar. Actually never seen a bartender. Only seen a couple Hooter girls waiting on tables. Sad. Did not win anything at Palms either.

In general the mid strip area was very crowded. Most casinos were very crowded except SLS , Palms and Lucky Draggon.

Seen a concert at Gilley's at TI. They have a good deal on a bucket of beer. Also seen a local band playing at the new Big and Rich country bar Red Neck Riveria at Ballys. It was fun. Drinks are around 6 bucks. The crowd was nice and most people were dancing and having a good time. The band played country and rock and were good. It's worth a stop there.

Did some shopping and took Lyft this time instead of Uber. The Uber app. is a bit odd right now and the Lyft app. Is much better and the rides are much cheaper than the cabs. We would monorail to a closer location to our destination and the use Lyft to the final stop. So Lyft was very cheap.

If you have any special questions about any thing feel free to ask. I don't have any tips to offer since we mostly just stayed busy hopping around here and there taking in the sights and sounds of vegas.

Maybe management figures that if you count the shadows their number of guests doubles! :D

Congrats on your trip and thank you for taking the time to share your report!

Thanks for the trip report! Congratulations on your wins! Sad to hear that SLS and Lucky Dragon are void of customers. Hope that area of the Strip improves over time. It's disheartening to hear that Lucky Dragon just opened up and it's already dead.

Great report. Sounds like you had a great time. I agree that SLS and Lucky Dragon are probably going to struggle. Most people just don't venture out to that part of the Strip. I know personally, I have no reason to go there. I stay mostly mid-strip, have everything I need there. Why bother going to play at SLS or Lucky Dragon?
