Changed hotels today to the Cal. East tower, nice room, no bathtub, perfumy smell. Room ready just before Noon.

Ran the YAH promos - played some penny slots at minimum (.20 - .40/spin) to get 1 TC, actually broke even or even won a couple bucks. Won 5k points at Fremont, $5 MP at Cal, and play $40 get $20 freeplay at MSS. Good run.

Went to the MMILV party at the Plaza, tried to hook up with Champster1 but we kept missing each other. Ate 2 hot dogs, chips, pretzels & a small slice of free pizza, that's all my food for today.

Went back to MSS at the Boar bar, finally broke the quad drought 3X, alas all on JOB over a couple hours.

Hit Golden Gate & The D for T-shirts with $100 buy-in. Got creamed at $10 Free Bet BJ but did a hit & run $25 MP win to only be down $35 at the Gate. Broke even on LIR at the D, no BJ tables under $15 min there.

Down about $180 for the trip, got my William Hill app reinstalled & loaded for the games tomorrow.

Tomorrow is a coupon run to Ellis, Gold Coast & Orleans, then back downtown for the Syracuse game, probably at 4Q or Boar bar. Looking forward to Metro Pizza at EI, man I love that. Maybe after the game swing down to Silver Nugget for $1 BJ?

On my way!!! After a few Southwest flight cancellation shenanigans I used some points to fly comfortable on Delta in first. Not nonstop like normal but I don’t mind.

I love MSP. They have fun places to drink. I could get into the delta lounges but this is more fun.

After Hell’s Kitchen we went over to O’Shea’s for some craps. Limit was $15 - higher than I was hoping. Bought in for $300 and it didn’t go well at first but then my brother rolled and hit a repeater on the 5. I had $1 for $80 win and he had $5 for $400 win. Got us both back to even and we colored up. We were both exhausted so went to bed by 8pm Vegas time lol but up early now at Hash House

After 2 years of viewing parties I decided this year I’d just find a good video poker spot so I stood in line at The Linq Book line to get a seat. Talked to some nice guys that have one of the $4k couches and they gave me an extra wristband that covers alcohol and food all day! It’s gonna be a good day!

So last night I ended up at the Cal BJ and blew $175 before crashing for the night.

Today I tried something completely different. A couple days before the trip I somehow ran across somebody online who cold brewed their own coffee. I did some internet research & decided to see if I could do this in the hotel. 4Q had a coffee maker, so I didn't need it Wednesday. The recipe calls for coarse ground coffee 1:4 ratio with water, set for 12 hours, then filter out the grounds. I found a covered cup at home, plus a plastic sour cream sized container that fit a standard coffee filter that I had once cut a hole in the bottom when my coffee maker died (don't ask), and bought a half pound of coarse ground columbian from the supermarket to take with. I set it up Wednesday, and it was ready Thursday morning. It actually worked, and I was happy with not needing to leave the room coffee-less. One small snafu - most of the grounds went in the trash, but I needed to rinse a few out in the sink. And the sink backed up! It wasn't from me, there weren't enough grounds to stuff it up, but looking at the sink you wouldn't know that! It took me 45 minutes to clear the sink enough so when I called maintenance to unclog the sink I wouldn't look a fool. The final answer is - this is a win, not a fail - a Melitta filter unit would probably be more conducive to success.

Today was a coupon run - WAX to Tropicana/Koval, 119 to Ellis Island. ACG coupons $10 MP, play $10 get up to $100 ($10), free T-shirt, free beer, free cookies, and 2-4-1 Metro Pizza slices. Had 2 sausage & pepperoni, an amber, lost $5 but made $15 back on the freeplay, then lost the matchplay. As a NY pizza snob I heartily recommend Metro Pizza.

Took the Flamingo bus to Gold Coast, got killed playing BJ, then got lucky with a $25 double and a $30 win to bring me back a few bucks over even. Waited for the shuttle to Orleans, man it was like 45 minutes and it was pushing rush hour. Instead of playing a while I just played the MP (and lost), then took the Tropicana bus back to Koval. Loaded up at the Rebel (15-pack of Milwaukees Best Ice & 2 quarts of Powerade), and took the WAX back downtown.

I was a bit rushed because Syracuse was playing at 7 PM, so I had to cut the run short. Got back to the Cal, prep'd, and went to the D to check in at the MMILV desk at the free party to pick up a $25 MP. They had some table games set up in the party room, BJ was $25 min (ack!). Went next door to the 4Q, where there were some seats at the Kings bar open. Barkeep was nice enough to change the channel to watch Syracuse, and so I settled in for a 2-hour .50 10/6 DDB session. Was drinking the Chicago Brewing seasonal (Wickiweisen?) and getting killed on VP while watching Syracuse eventually lose a heartbreaker. With less than 1 minute to go in the game, I am in for $180 in the machine, with maybe $30 left. Finally, as Syracuse bows out of the tournament, I hit quads. The folks next to me at the bar got a thin crust Chicago Brewing pizza & shared a slice with me. It was pretty weak compared to Metro, but still I was very appreciative.

Left 4Q down only $20 (whew!). Decided to take the bus down to Silver Nugget for $1 BJ - another fail, they no longer do $1 BJ on Thursdays. The DD table was closed, so I grabbed my MP and sat at the $3 6-decker. Got lucky & walked out $65 ahead, then made my way to Jerry's Nugget. MP & freeplay there + $29.

I won 2 of my 3 sports bets today, and had over $200 cash in pocket again, but I still decided to do the walk of shame (actually bus ride of shame) to hit the ATM as it was on my way back (free at 7-11 on LVB & Stewart from credit union network).

From there I hit the Downtown Grand for $10 freeplay after 25 points. Lost $10 then made it back on the freeplay. I was getting hungry, and you get 50% off select items at Freedom Beat after 25 points (which I had done), so I decided to get a cheesesteak. The nice lady let me sub mushrooms for the onions with no hassles, arguments, or extra charges (wow!), and it was a big wich with fries for $5.

(sorry for the weird tint, not sure how that happened)

From there it was Fremont to play a MP (lost), then MSS for BJ & VP.

A long tiring fun day by any stretch, and Friday is a (relatively) calmer day for me.

It's actually quite good for a cheap beer, I've never seen it anywhere but here. Oh, there's a payable I'd like to see how bad it is, max is 6 coins.

What casino is that at? I wanna play it now. Lol It's 98.26%. Strategy is mostly like Deuces Wild as far as I can tell. But break two pairs even though a full house is 20, and premium pairs beat a flush draw. Break premium full houses only. Hold quints unless it's 222xx or AAA22.

Downtown Grand, same machines as the 9/6 JOB quarters. It's for folks who hate getting natural quads while playing deuces wild games, lol.

At the Cosmo sportsbook today. Love this place. Best energy of any sportsbook I’ve been in.
