Before the trip, I felt the opposite. I thought I was due to get beat up a bit. And really, smooth sailing at the tables for most of the three days is part of what got me in trouble on day four. When everything is going right for that many days straight, its too easy to get out of control or go on tilt because I have been feeling unbeatable

 

I do enjoy your "screw it, I'm going big" approach to being down a bit. I have an internal battle with myself regarding playing with scared money, mostly in poker, but also in table games.

 

Down 60K and wouldnt comp a key chain/mug/t shirt for a 100$ unreal(cost is probably below 20$)

 

Wow, that's about all the words that will come, just wow! Just hearing about a 100K marker makes me a bit sick to my stomach. LOL

A rollercoaster indeed but so glad for you that it worked out in the end and that you had a fun trip with your friend.

And yeah, Cosmo sounds like a bit of a mess. Your host should have had the merch hand delivered to you after your play and the various screw ups.

 

Ooof your gambling reminds me a lot of stock plays I've been making recently. Lost couple grand on one trade to hit it off on the next. It's an interesting feeling for sure and not for the faint of heart. Sometimes, though, you need to grind it out. Glad the trip netted out alright...I really enjoyed following along despite you thinking it was boring. You're a good story teller and you write better than most.

 

The play at Bellagio was not fun. Normally when gambling, I get a fun rush win or lose. Nothing about that play was fun. I was steaming (despite the walk over there) and when I went down big at that table, I was just pissed at myself. The big play at Aria was a bit better. Even though I still felt dumb for getting stuck a second time in one day, I felt a bit more confident at Aria since I had just made a run at Bellagio a few hours earlier. And it helped that I bet a flag in two of the first five hands and won both times. That's always a good way to start
