Wasn't sure which forum to put this in, as it broaches both strip and non-strip hotels...

I just got back and yes the first thing I did was go online to begin my March trip plans. Couple questions:

    1. Are rooms not yet released for dates in March 2020 as of yet? Cosmo is 100% blocked and I get a 404 error from Palace Station.

    2. Also, any thoughts on Jockey Club for three guys headed out to watch NCAA basketball, given the proximity to The Cosmo...I have never stayed there or been inside...

    3. Any insider info on Palace station offers? I stopped in the first time this week, ran several thousand through VP in the one day...do they send teasers? I kinda liked the place...do the rooms match the "niceness" of the casino?

    thanks in advance as usual!

hope to get a short TR up soon on last weeks trip. Wont match some of the recent live TRs at all, but I will try to give some of my insights)

Vegas in March is great!! Are you thinking for the tourney?

I can't answer all your questions but will do my best.

Rooms in March are available. I don't really play at Cosmo so can't speak to offers but if I try to book at market rate I have no issues.

As for station offers, it seems like it normally takes 3 to 6 months to get into the rotation. If you're interested id call and ask if they can offer you anything.

I cannot speak to the jockey club.

    Good luck planning.

Yeah. Been promising a buddy of mine who runs our March Madness pool that we would come to LV to watch round 1 for a few years. His wife finally gave permission!!

Rack rate on Travelocity for Palace Station is 103 +34 per night. Not bad if I have to pay, but I could easily see doing enough coin in there to earn a little something so would prefer to book direct. I will call later.

You will have a great time if you head out there during March Madness. I am toying with the idea of doing so myself next Spring if I can land some comp nights.

Got quoted what may be “casino” rate. Avg for 5 nites was $57 plus taxes and resort fee. And this is week one of the NCAA tourney. All for running a few thou through VP one night. She said any mailers won’t go out for a while but I can change the rate if something better comes. So I held it. First time I booked my next trip within 24h of returning from the first!

I will probably be there at that time. To answer your questions my sister and I actually have stayed at Jockey Club for a few nights a few years ago. We had left booking way too long and got a good deal. It was actually ok. The Cosmo is attached to it, and you get to use the pool at the Cosmo as well. We got a room on home away and it was re done so was nice and upper modern. I think some of the rooms are old fashioned but you would be fine. You don't really feel like you aren't at a casino hotel because Cosmo is right there.

Good thing to hold rooms, if no better offers, rates will probably only go up as tourney approaches. For our earlier March trip, have already secured rooms and flights. Glad we booked flights as soon as Southwest opened up that time period because prices for our flight times went from $233 RT to now being $488 RT for their non-stop flights.

I never thought to check homeaway or Airbnb for Vegas spots like this.

I can't speak for the Jockey Club, but I might suggest considering Elara. A buddy of mine at work has gone to Vegas for March Madness with a group of guys on a bunch of recent years. They stayed at Elara at least a few times. They have 2BR and 3BR units, and I think the bigger units have projection TVs for watching the games. Location is good as it's right across the street from Cosmo and it is connected to Planet Hollywood.
