stayed four nights at mandalay bay. second time staying at this hotel, about 20 times total to vegas. little disappointed this time around. requested non-smoking adjoining rooms. tried to check-in at 11:30 am told come back at 12, rooms not ready until 4pm, one of the rooms in the fiji tower ninth floor was trashed, smoke filled and obviously someones party room. smell lingered for our entire stay, tried to get another room and was told the hotel was sold out. hotel very crowded, no room once again by the pool, no problem with the elevators servicing our floors. ate at noodles and raffles, ok, not great. no luck in the casino, but frienldy craps dealers, lenny from brooklyn and peter from great neck, all new york team. use the west valet at all times, great guys and gals working here and you will save yourself tons of time. you may have to walk a little bit further but it is worth it. too many working girls day and night at this place. may stay at paris or venetian next time out. got a great mid-week rate at the mandalay bay though, $109 per night, so it was worth it. never saw the town as crowded since we have been going to vegas, 20+ years now. the airport, the car rental, the strip, the hotels all of them, the people walking, the side roads, the main roads, everywhere, i referred to this as the"mass of humanity". i know it was easter/passover/spring break time, but boy what a crowd.
