Damn the one bedroom suite looks better than the penthouse
Great photos of those suites Elf, thanks for sharing!
They’re both pretty spectacular. You’re going to be happy with whatever you end up with.
Happy to share. I’m looking forward to (hopefully) be there in July.
I may just stay with the penthouse and try for the 2 wing.
Not sure when your trip is...
I've got vids up of the 2 Delano Penthouses I've stayed at on Youtube... Sorry about the vertical vid on the Pano vid...
That being said, I've been in both the panoramic penthouse and the superior penthouse at Delano... The view in the pano penhouse was absolutely stunning.... Both rooms had a steam shower, but only the Superior had a jetted tub... After staying at the terrace suites at MGM, the skysuites at Aria and Hotel 32, I have to admit, the Superior penthouse at Delano was very Mehh and almost lackluster..
Also, dont mistake the Pano Suite to the Pano penthouse... they are 2 very very different animals...
If I had it my way, I wish Monte Carlo had kept Hotel32 as a seperate entity from the Nomad and they would have kept me as a customer... I have tons of photos from that penthouse as it was the first Penthouse experience we had... and we were spoiled by all of the extras that came with the room... The only other Mlife properties that comes close to the perks now are: Aria SkySuites\Bellagio\MGM Grand Skylofts and they cost a fair amount more than Hotel 32 did (especially if you dont have comps\discounts)...
The Delano Panoramic Penthouse and the Penthouse Superior Suite DO NOT come with jetted tubs. I've stayed in 62-906 before back when it was THEHotel. Under THEhotel it was an E Suite Penthouse, their various Penthouses were classed M, H, O T, E, L. Only the Penthouse City View, Penthouse Premier Suites, and the Loft come with jetted tubs.
They must have the classifications confused then. The second vid was in the "superior" that they put me in and it did have a jetted tub as in the video... Unless the front desk hooked me up with a premier and didnt tell me, lol.
Even the desk agents don't know half the time. The rooms are all very similar. You know you are in one of the "better" Penthouses because of the tubs. Another indicator is the little private office area, though one of the larger versions doesn't have it. Used to be the O Penthouse. City View are right under the Skyfall Lounge area. The Premier faces towards the airport with partial Strip view and mountains. Superior faces towards South Point.
If I had to pick, City View or Panoramic, unless of course I could get the Loft but that is $4000 a night and frankly isn't what it used to be. When it was THEHotel's Presidential Suite it had its own stop on the Mix Panoramic elevator. They took that particular feature away.
Are Moorea suites only located on the top floors or if I asked for an upgrade from my Skyview penthouse could I end up in a low floor Moorea suite??
Going midweek next week it should be dead so my chances of an upgrade should be solid but I don't want to lose the sepreate elevator in the high limit room so not sure what I should ask for. I'd love the steam shower but those only look like they're km the horizon suite and coral suite.
Moorea Suites are only on 61 and 62. Skyviews are scattered on 60-62 though most are on 60.
Steam showers are only in the Horizon, Lagoon, Reef, Coral, Orchid, Presidential Suites. Skyview and Moorea don't have them. Moorea has a jetted tub though. Only Penthouse that doesn't is Skyview.
What would you ask for as a potential upgrade knowing how dead it'll be?
It really depends on pricing for the upgrade. MB isn't exactly decent when it comes to cheap upgrades. They treat their big suites like they are some sort of gift you are lucky to be even considered for.
The most coveted upgrade for me would be to the Loft at Delano. Followed by the MB Presidential Suite.
If I couldn't get these, I'd go with City View Pent at Delano, then the Reef Suite as that one has everything you'd want (steam shower, jetted tub, renovated, office area). If not, the Moorea. There is also another type of suite that has a huge round tub/shower room that I don't know the name of. That one is cool too. Only downside to the larger Pents at MB is that some of them don't have floor to ceiling windows (Reef, Lagoon, Coral, Orchid, Presidential). The front desk should have a book with pictures/floor plans of the suites. See what you like and go from there.
Anyone have any thoughts on this version at Mandalay?
One Bedroom Penthouse Sky View Two Queen Suite – Roll In Shower
Most of my play is at CET, but I was just checking out my Mlife acct for our November SEMA trip and saw this one available. I understand that this is a accessible room and growing up in an accessible house, I'm generally not one to take one of these rooms. However, it is an oportunity to get a Skyview 2 qn suite, lol. I also have the option for a 2 qn staywell executive over at MGM or a standard 2qn over at Delano. Which would be the better option? I will be with a buddy and will need a room with 2 beds. I'm just not a big Mlife player and was thinking about possibly burning a comp as my play level is usually below normal during conventions.
Take the Skyview all day unless you really hate the accessibility features.
Delano would be # 2 because the bedroom is separate.
MGM Executive is just one larger-than-standard room.
I'd say having a normal bathroom beats having an extra 300 sqft, so would go with Delano.
Remember, your friend will be using the same shower and might not like it. Also no guilt of taking away a suite that is probably a one off from someone who might actually need it.
