I am pissed right now! It seems like they are always doing some dumb sh!t. I don't know if this had happened to anyone else. I was at Mandalay Bay on 10/1 checking out on the 4th. At the end of the trip I had an outstanding balance 1000 after my 600 rc upfront comp which ended up taken off by my host. The one charge of 200 or so at RM seafood (lunch) was on the 3 day of the stay. So I just saw a charge on my CC of the exact amount of that RM seafood bill from "Mandalay Bay front desk". I called this past weekend via VIP services and the rep mentioned that charge has been flagged and that he has never seen something like that before. He then gave me a number of the Corporate account receivable? He said they were closed for the weekend for me to call them on Monday. I am currently away and will call tomorrow. Can my host do anything about this or if she had something to do with this? Did corporate thought my host overcomped me? Also, why would they take a bill from the middle of my trip. Before calling I just want to know if anyone here has experienced something like this. Thank you!

I don't think it's plausible for corporate to override a host thinking you're "overcomped" after the fact. Seems like a simple mistake. I would at least talk to them before freaking out.

Was the charge included in that $1000 bill? If not, RM probably didn't send the bill to MB before you checked out. Maybe the system was down or something then when they reconciled things they found the charge. That happened to me once charging a meal at Ballys while staying at Linq.

There have been many times I have seen charges show up 48-72 hours after checkout.
I ended up with accounts receivable several times.
Usually I call my host to try to get it resolved.
It's hard to figure out why this happens at casino hotels somewhat regularly.
I have never seen it at a non casino hotel.

I am usually fairly calm, but this 3 day trip had so much BS. First I booked room for 3 nights and they said only 2 were comped. They wouldn't honor my corporate offer's freeplay...they said that I used that same offer 4 months ago and that I claimed the free that last trip. There were just little things here and there that were annoying. So after all that, I was charged for something 3 weeks later.

The situation was that my upfront rc was 600. My host comped off an extra 1000 backend. By the time we had the RM meal, I have already went over the initial 600...if that's what you were asking.

So should I call accounts receivable first, or contact my host first? Thank you all!

If you can't get this taken care of via host or accounts receivable, just dispute with your credit card company

Has you already checked out of your room? You mention this was the last day of the trip and RM doesn't open till after check out time, while RM may have taken the check as a room charge if you had already checked out they would not have known that.

The RM charge was on the 3rd day for lunch. I haven't checked out at that time.

...see my host and I has this strange relationship. She comes through at the end, but never gives me any confirmation with anything! Everything seems to be up in the air. It's strange, I know. So technically I don't even consider that doing a good job. So I texted her about the problem and she said once she takes care of it she would let me know...hahahahahahaha. Just now MB sent me a new folio with balance of zero. So does that mean I have been credited?! I don't know if my host consider that done? SMH.

Do you see the credit reflected on your CC?

The new folio indicates the credit was dated 11/4. I don't see it on my cc account yet, but will look out for it.
