I lost pretty bad my first 2 days (to be fair, I was at Caesars Palace) but days 5 and 6 were huge profits. Hang in there, gotta get better if it cant get worse, and if it diesnt get better, hey, you're still in Vegas and eating some great food and drinking some drinks and having a swim and a soak!

    Suck it, Caesar!
I convinced my family to have a small reunion ...at Tampa Hard Rock

50B49792-829E-47C7-A026-712397E69CA3.png Spent some time at Park playing slots. I really like Park but the slot mix doesn’t thrill me. Love the no smoking and the size.

I had a delicious mocktail and some of the best fries I’ve ever had at NoMad bar. Great second course.

Please, please, please don't do this. As a musician, it's the worst joke in the world.

The only issue I ever had playing in a casino is that the bells from the slots are never in the same key as any song on your set list. I can just imagine them not shutting off the sound on the slots surrounding you and having to fight to be heard over that noise.

Ah, a fellow PJ fan! I have several of the Ames Brothers posters from the early 2000s. I should eventually get them framed!

Perfect breakfast at Eataly. My favorite table was free too.

Today.... a swim at Park pool if no line. Find live craps somewhere. My fave bubble craps at Excalibur is now $5 min up from a buck. Park has $10 but it’s crapless. If no ones at the table I may try asking. My buyin isn’t huge though so not a lot of pull there.

Else, pondering a wander downtown. I just worry about the crowds. Las Vegas Blvd was stressful to walk on, there were so many people. But lunch at Le Thai might convince me.

Hope you get a chance to throw some dice before heading out. If you’re not playing for comps, there are a few ways to play and minimize your risk exposure even at a higher-level table.

No craps open at all at NYNY-they open at noon apparently. Regular craps opens at noon.

So... I played some blackjack. Empty $10 table and a very nice helpful dealer. I used my trusty old strategy card, since I just haven’t memorized basic strategy. Two other players joined me, but they were fine with the slower pace. Played about an hour and stopped when I got back to even. Brain tired!

Now, off to find some grapefruit juice for hopefully less than the $20 or so it “cost” last time, lol. Then checking out the pool.

.... black jack is fun but for me, it’s intense. My table mates were pleased I didn’t make any weird moves like splitting 4s.

And a successful Freeplay conversion! Had a great swim at the Park pool (NoMad closed); no one there, water perfect temp and less windy than yesterday. Overcast skies. My kind of pool day!

I think I’m gonna walk up to Cosmo and try for that drink ticket achievement....

Following along and enjoying. Gambling was the same for me last time as well. Overall, sounds like a great trip to me, and thanks for the pics.

And, finally, a VP hand worth sharing. This was on what would have been my last triple play hand before switching back to single. Dealt straight flush!

Drinks were raspberry lemon drop and Aperol spritz.

Tasty but way too much food. I’ve got leftovers to bring home to the Sweetie.

Watched hockey at the Aria sports bar earlier. They changed the channel for me. There was a mix of old and new bar tops. I didn’t love the one I used. No multi hand vp.

Tram still not running but the walk is quite short from Aria to Park.

The old hard rock casino just reopened as Virgin Hotel-they had $10 craps and no one there in the am. It reminds me of Park casino. Small & Cozy. Rio during the week is open and a ghost town w/$10 craps. Had 2 mid day sessions with never more than 3 people at the time. 80% of the time it was just me. Good luck on finding the tables. If you’re interested in doing the don’t, you could find an empty $25 table and just do a don’t PL bet. When you 7out you win and dice are back to you till others show up then leave.

So after my usual latte & croissant breakfast at Eataly, I walked up to Bellagio. If you walk on the Strip first thing, the sidewalks are empty save for the occasional runner (including a barefoot one!). It was a pleasant walk, unlike my brief foray the other day.

The conservatory is lovely! I hadn’t gotten the theme just from seeing others’ photos but it seems to be springtime in Holland and Thailand, with a patriotic centerpiece. The flowers smell amazing and I actually love their crowd control pathway. No more scrum of guests, it’s an orderly path that takes you through the whole exhibit. Very well done.
