Major crime reported in AC (right outside)

Read in the paper today that the Stewart Bros. Lenny and Kenny were arrested for shoplifting soap,yes soap from a supermarket in Absecon NJ next to AC. They tried to make a clean get-a-way but were apprehended.
I cant make this stuff up.
 
ABSECON, N.J. (CBS)—Two twin brothers in Absecon attempted to make a clean getaway after police say they tried to steal thirty 6-packs of Dove soap.

It happened on Friday morning, when things got soapy for Lenny and Kenny Stewart.

Police say the brothers loaded approximately 180 bars of soap into a bag, but ran into a few obstacles leaving the ShopRite.

“Kenny and Lenny escaped out the exit but were introduced to the cold, frosty ground by a strategically placed trash can. Those sometimes jump out of nowhere,” Absecon police said on their Facebook page.

The brothers were then re-introduced to the pavement when they ran into a shopping cart in the parking lot.

And the timing of their escape couldn’t be more perfect.

The suspects then ran right into an Absecon police officer who was investigating a separate crime in the parking lot.

Lenny Stewart, 48 and Kenny Stewart, 48, both of Atlantic City, are both being charged with shoplifting. Kenny is being charged with resisting arrest.

Both are being held on $2,500 bail.
 
LOL, wtf! Why would you need to steal all that soap -- is soap a new drug? I mean I would've never expected bath salts to get where they went so who knows :shrug:
 
I think the article said something about soap not being paid for under the public assistance food program.
 
Dove, It's 1/4 cleansing cream.

They might need some soap on a rope for their stretch at Trenton State or Bayside State Prison.

Ok, I'll claim the low hanging fruit: I'd say they are washed up as criminals.
 
if you ever go to walgreens, not sure about the vegas ones, but here, they have security stickers on soap, and lots of other items, razors locked to the shelf ect....the sticker basically says to alert authorities if this item is being sold outside of walgreens...its big on the black market knocking trucks off and selling at other places

They'll be sure not to drop the soap this time around!
 
The rope a dope brothers should dial it back a bit.
