Saw this on Twitter.
Why should we be surprised given Boyd's track record the last couple years. There were numerous 8/5 Bonus Poker machines( Full-Pay) through-out the casino. Wonder if these will also be nixed for scratch cards? Are the floor slot attendants going to have to police the casino to verify what type game you are playing for a scratcher? Geez! We'll be out there in a couple weeks. We'll do some re-con.
I never had a decent scratch card so I hope they keep the pay tables.
You know sometimes playing at other places and not waiting for a scratcher felt good.
Vegas Advantage's blogpost on it said the Treasure Chest machines are gone, but that there are still a few over at the Cal.
Can you tell me whats special about the machines? Never played them but with all the hoopla I assume they are worth investing $100 in.
Not at all. Never heard of them or at least never paid attention to them than people asking about them in this or the other thread. I ate a lot at 777 and the buffet, and even stayed there a couple of times. But I don't think I ever gambled more than $5 there in my entire life.
I most play their $1 DB (10/7/5). with a 4OAK at $250, I don't like to waste 5-10 minutes to get a card for $2.
It looks like (electronic) Score With 4 is available at the bartops with 9/6 JOB based on the photos in another thread here, so claims of SW4 being “not available on better pay tables” don’t entirely hold up I guess we will have a more complete and accurate picture of what’s happening relatively soon
Scratch cards are gone. Now you play a game on the card reader when hitting a 4OAK but they excluded the promo on all multiline and good paytable VP.
I was just about to post what you said.
Link if anyone is interested, pics too.
Awe, I enjoyed playing dream card multi line…won a ton of scratch cards. Thanks for the update!
No doubt. In a popular place you'd love to be open longer hours. As a former manager, I threw away (though not legal) about as many apps as I kept. These days, you'd jump to hire the ones you threw away!
I believe they are Video Poker coin droppers for those who like to get down and dirty with coins.
On 4oak’s a screen showed up with chests to choose from it could be up to 1000 coins…[email protected] would know more details.
As mentioned it is now electronic, so only certain games will have the bonus pop-up when you get a 4 of a Kind. No need for attendants to do anything.
Thanks. Any noticeable downgrades to BHB VP?
@Joe playing an upright? Have you met Joe?
Never play uprights, but back in the day, the first 5 machines (L_R) at Boar's Head were Treasure Chest. The only ones at the bar, so we always played at that end. Old habits die hard so that is still where we play even though the TC are long gone.
My records indicate I got my last TC jackpot ($1,000) in February of 2004 at the bar. So maybe they were taken out late 2004 or early 2005?
Thanks for this info. I let John Mehaffey know on Twitter and he has added an updated note to his article! https://vegasadvantage.com/main-street-station-reopening-casino-guide/
You can see in his article that some machines are labeled with "Score with four not available". He assumed it was all 99%+ plus machines, but sounds like it is just some full pay machines not all. So if you are there and want to know if you'll get the bonus or not on that machine, look for the label!
