Luxor vs. NYNY vs. MC

I have a three night stay at Delano in January. I will be arriving one night prior to Delano stay. My Hyatt card gives me one free night in a standard room to use at either of these resorts. I don't want to dip into my bankroll and pay for a room. Which of these should I choose? I'm leaning towards MC.

 

If construction and/or construction noise doesn't bother you, MC would be a good pick.

NYNY, hands down. MC is going through a remodel that results in reduced venues to enjoy and more noise and clutter to deal with. NYNY is also the most fun of the 3, IMO.

 

Easiest move would be from Luxor to Delano. I would room at Luxor (yes I hear they have crappy rooms) but play at MB.

I would be more interested in MC for a night. And it would get you a little further midstrip for a night.

Hey, we loved Skyfall at Delano when we stayed in August, and were surprised how nice Citizens in MB was. It is their 24hr place, but really nice and food good, if you are looking for casual meal during your stay (maybe everyone already knew this!).

MC is a mess at the moment due to the renovations.

 

I agree -- NYNY is really fun and has nice rooms if you're okay with paying a little more. In general, aside from Luxor and Excalibur, mLife has the nicer properties in Vegas so you won't really lose out.

 

Usually I would say Monte Carlo, because I like it and there is a free tram going from MC to Bellagio, so you're mid-Strip in a short time. But with the renovations/re-branding, I would go for NY-NY. The casino is certainly the nicest out of the 3 and it has a great vibe too (and piano bar!). I would not consider Luxor at all.

 

I have only stayed at Luxor and Monte Carlo and would vote MC always but with the construction NYNY would be my choice among the 3 right now.

 

+1 on the Luxor, you can walk your bags over thru the mall in about 10 minutes when doing the switch rather than getting a cab (or your car) to do it. NYNY/MC are not going to be that much better rooms than Luxor in my opinion to make it worth while.

 

For one night I would choose Luxor for the proximity of where you will be staying the remainder of your trip. Room wise Luxor/NYNY/MC are all about the same.

 

Do the luxor as it is right next door and you can walk inside from one hotel to the next. You will still have to pay a resort fee if you do not gamble enough to get that comped off BTW

 

NYNY, stayed MC last year and it was awful, terrible service, bad atmosphere and generally tired. Luxor doesn't know what it is at the moment and the vibe is non-existent.

Go NYNY and have a blast!

 

I've stayed at all and hands down NYNY out of those three. MC is nice too, but lots of construction going on. Plus NYNY has a nicer casino and better places to eat and shop.

 

I have to jump on the NYNY bandwagon. The rooms are the best of the three. I also think the dining at NYNY is the best. The casino is fun and my experience with service there has been positive.

 

Better choice is NYNY, but more practical choice is Luxor. Thats an easy one, if you prefer convenience go with Luxor. If you dont mind a tram ride to Excalibur and a walk across the street to NYNY, do that. You can also hitch a ride to NYNY. In my opinion I would just get a ride to NYNY and stay there.

 

I'd go with Luxor and play at Mandalay. Easier to transfer to Delano too. Walked through MC this week and the construction is definitely an inconvenience.
