I currently have 2 Luxor offers

The 1st offer is 3 nights, $50 resort credit, $50 free play. Book by 5/15/17 for stay through 10/14/17.

The other offer is 2 nights $100 resort credit, $75 free play. Book by 5/31/17 for stay through 8/31/17.

The 2 night offer has more available "comp" dates than the 3 night offer. For example, all of the June and August dates are comped under the 2 nights offer. Under the 3 night offer, the comp dates are Sun-Thur. I generally have to pay for Fri and Sat.

Besides the obvious like resort credits, free play, etc., anyone know what the difference is or why there is a difference? Are they coming from different departments?

Both have the same 1-800 number to call if I chose to book by phone rather than on the website.

Can you tell if one is Luxor-specific and the other one is a Corporate offer?

When you are looking at a page that displays all your offers, a Corporate offer will say Multiple Resorts and a property-specific offer will name the hotel.

The timing of MLife offers is a mystery.

My guess is that the 2 night offer is the older one, and it's better when you consider the variables. The 3 night offer is probably newer and is just a shaved off (ie. stingier) offer. Aside from just plain timing and being stingier due for basic corporate reasons, one offer could be different because some trip you had in between when they were calculated figured into them.

The 3 night offer is the corporate offer. It says multiple resorts on the website. The 2 night offer is property specific (Luxor). Like you said the 2 night is the better offer with higher credit and FP.

I go once a year and have not been to Vegas since last October. I stayed at the Luxor for 2 nights last year and had $15K coin-in on VP over those 2 nights. You are correct that the 3 night offer is newer offer. The property specific ones are better I'm guessing because of my prior history.

I actually want the 2 night offer because I want to stay downtown to start the trip. Plus the free stuff is higher. But I'm not leaving until 9/29 and the 2 night only goes through 8/31. Also under the 3 night offer, the dates I need are not comped.

What I don't understand is why the number to call is the same.

OK, so I'd say both offers are based on the play you did on your last trip. It's not uncommon for a property-specific offer to be a little more generous than a Corporate one, especially as you move down the pecking order.

I see many different phone numbers associated with offers, I don't really have a bunch handy to decipher them, but I don't put any particular significance on it in your case. I think depending on the exact type of offer, most are going to get routed either through an MGM Resorts reservations call center (which may get fed from several different numbers) or VIP Services at the specific hotel making the offer.

Hopefully you won't have any trouble getting the Fri-Sat nights comped under the 2 night offer. I'd try to book it online and only call if the website won't let you or you have some specific reason to call (like it doesn't price the paid night correctly, etc.)
