    My Trip Report

    Up at 9AM.
Ate breakfast at the Luxor buffet. Very impressed! I loved their scrambled eggs and the selection of other breakfast foods. I would not eat their dinner again, but the breakfast was very worth the money.

Went to the MGM for more gambling and another CBS show screening. (You can go as often as you like).

    Lost some in gambling.

Went to see the pilot of a sitcom called "Still Standing".

Got asked to be in a focus group for the show when we came out of the screening. The focus group would pay us each $50 for 45 min of chat about our opinions.

Great deal!!! We had an hour to kill so we ate at McDonald's down the hall.

Attended the focus group (men were seperated from women). Came out 50 min later $50 richer each. We combined our money and headed down to the slots.

Called mom again. Let her know how things were going. Bragged about the newly acquired cash hubby and I got for giving opinions about a show. Easy money!!

Went back to Luxor for regrouping.

Gambled some slots. Won some/ lost some. Won again. Lost it all.

We headed for the bathrooms before going on to the Bellagio fountains again. While I was in the bathroom in the Luxor hubby passed the time playing a slot. I came out and we were about to leave for the tram when lhubby found two $5 chips left in his pocket from playing BJ and Pai Gow. He wanted to cash them in so I stayed behind. he gave me $6 to play with while I waited.

I found a quarter machine I likes (Double Diamonds) and tried to stick the $5 and $1 in. Would not take either. I was livid!

I grumbled...sat down to a machine next to it, put it my $6 and was about to cash out so I could go back to the DD machine, but I decided to play a couple of max spins for the heck of it. I played max (2 coins) and lost and then played another 2 and won $100!.

Scooped quarters into bucket...waited for hubby. When he came back I told him I needed to go to the cage where he just came from. He said, "Why?" . Well, I won us $100!!!!

Hubby was extremely happy since we were running out of money for the trip.

Cashed in and went to the Bellagio fountains for the last time. Watched three shows and then went back to the Luxor for bed.

    So sad....our last night there.

    DAY 5

    Woke at 8:20A.

Checked out. Had breakfast at McDonald's. Went to the shuttle stop. Waited. Boarded. Went to airport and flew off to Kansas.

(Not necessary to this report but...) We came back home and found one of our ferrets half dead. She was sick when we left so we had my bestfriend look after our animals and put medicine in her water. She didn't know how sick Becky our ferret was so she didn't know to do anything. Becky was hiding from her every time she came in to feed her.

Took her to the vet and she was very very sick. Drove 1.5 hours away to K-State vet school emergency room. As of now she is in ICU but she is getting stronger every hour. Please keep your fingers crossed for us. Our ferret means so much to us.

    Vegas$$$,

Great trip report! Sounds like you had a blast, and I'm glad you did so well, too!

I'm sorry to hear about your ferret. I've had to leave sick pets behind and I know how hard it is. I'll be thinking of you. Please update us when you can.

Well Becky passed away last night.

I am trying to console our other ferret (her brother). He hasn't been sleeping well without her.

This is gonna be a very long summer. :(
