Work up around 6 this morning and had a chocolate covered Krispy Kreme donut with sprinkles I picked up last night. Then headed down and lost $900 at the craps table in about 45 mins. My brother showed up so sat down at the bubble craps machine with my last $100 of the 1k buy in and played for about 2 hrs and built it back up to a little over $400.

We then went to the pyramid cafe for breakfast. I had the chicken and waffle, Brother had a breakfast burrito and hi GF had the Classic Breakfast. They both said their meals were just average, but mine was pretty good.

Get ready to head off for my brother to shoot some guns for his birthday. Looks like we might be going to the LV machine gun experience instead of Battfield.

The East Coast Oysters at Strip Steak in MB were very good this past weekend. Perfect Brininess. My condolences to you and your family. I hope you find some happiness during your upcoming trip.

What's your typical craps strategy? You place minimum on all numbers?

    I play a lot of just $30 or $42 6&8s. Sometimes I will place 100 or 200 outside.

I can get somewhat aggressive with pressing at times though and will spread out from the 6&8 if they hit a few times

Just depends on what I am feeling. Generally only play the pass line when I am shooting or someone I know.

Ok plans got sidetracked a little bit yesterday. I ended up spending 3+hrs at the North Outlets... Once my brother's GF discovered them it was over. Even convinced him to reschedule his gun range visit to today cause she wasn't done shopping. Was brutal!

Anyways we got done with that waste of my Vegas time and I went and took about a 1 hr nap before we got around to head down town for dinner at Hugo's Cellar.

Hugo's was very good. I ordered escargot for an app and made a deal with the other 2 that I would pick up the check if they each tried one. Well both backed out of that deal. Oh well more for me.

Table side salad prep was a nice touch as well.

For my entree I went with the Ribeye. Brother ordered the Filet Atlantis Style and his GF thr New York Strip. All the steaks were excellent.

The complimentary Dessert tray with chocolate dipped or drizzled strawberries, apricots, and figs was another very nice touch, but not nearly enough dessert. My brother got a slice of Chocolate Fudge cake, she got the triple layer mousse, and I ordered the Cherries Jubilee. I didn't realize they did the jubilee tableside so that was a fun little surprise. Overall the desserts were A+ as well.

Overall was and great birthday dinner for my brother and of course I picked up the check even though they backed out of the deal.

After dinner we gambled at 4 Queens for several hours. We started out at the faceup pai gow table. Was pretty even for a while then a dealer change happened and my brother lost 4 hands in a row so they decided to go find something else. I stayed and proceed to win 6 times before I lost another had (obviously several pushes in there) When I did lose I was dealt a 10 high paigow and it felt like a good place to color up. Drink service was non existent at that table as well.

Wandered around until I found the others playing a bubble craps machine. They were betting something like $3 on the line with $4 odds and then $2 placed on each box number. Not pressing bets or anything and they were up over $300 between them.. Oh how I wish I could have been playing...

They decide to cash out and we wander throughout most of the casinos down town with them mainly playing bubble craps and me real craps. Nothing too exciting happened just a lot of drinks and lots of small wins.

There was one good roll at a craps table I was at. Guy was betting the dark side and he was shooting. Managed to hit 4 points and several numbers... enough so that he wiped himself out and the dice got passed to me in the middle of his turn. I promptly sevened out of course but did make about $600 on his roll.

We ended up back at Luxor around 2 am and I played craps until around 4am. Again nothing special to report just up and down a little each roll. I think I lost 150 there but things started to get a little fuzzy by the end.

So my brother did the Las Vegas machine gun experience this morning. He bought a Groupon for like $400 that let him shoot 14 different guns. It was ok, but not sure it was worth $400. However he was grinning almost the entire time. The pic is him with the Tommy gun.

After that we went to Shucks Tavern and Oyster bar. The food was ok, but the service was really really slow. Not sure I will ever make the drive over there again.

So this evening we just did a couple of the touristy things on the strip... Watched the fountains at Bellagio... happened by the mirage when the volcano went off... wandered through some of the other properties.

    20200909_200405.jpg 20200909_210354.jpg

Had a proposal happen right next to us at the Bellagio fountains so that was a pretty cool moment! Best wishes to them in their life together!

Walking the strip was definitely not as much fun being a lot harder to just bounce between bars etc for drinks.

Got back to the luxor and played craps for 4 or 5 hrs this evening and lost $3k. Not looking good this trip, but got tomorrow morning and afternoon to try and stage a comeback before our early evening flight home.

Can you describe the "vibe" between the three of you as brother and girlfriend witness the proposal next to you? Any chick that can induce two guys for a shopping spree in vegas :poke: must be aware of her surroundings...

    enjoying the report. thanks.

Jayhawks Fan you are a true gentleman and Vegas host to the newbie. I am one of those odd women that absolutely despises shopping with a passion :vomit:. There is no way in hell, I would go shopping like you did on vacation for anyone :nono:

Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip and win big! Thank you for taking us along

I always thought that women were born with a shopping gene. At least my wife and my ex-wife obviously were!

So the last day was not very good. Lost another $1500 at Luxor playing craps. Walked over to MB to place my bet on the chiefs to win the super bowl (My brother and each put $20 on them last year just being silly so we are parlaying that $140). Last year was my 1st sports bet ever and this parlay is now my 2nd.

I also put $60 on the chiefs to beat the spread and the over for the game.

Decided to give craps at MB a quick go to see if I could win a little of my losses back. 1st shooter had a nice roll and I made about $900 then I shot and pointed sevened out and decided I was done with craps for the trip.

We did a little gift shopping and then headed to the airport. Watched the chiefs game on the flight home and I now have a winning sports bet ticket I need to cash so I guess I will be going back before to long.

Overall it was an OK trip. It was definitely different and I don't think Vegas is for my brother's GF. I ended up down almost 6k so the gambling could have been better. Food was decent but we didn't eat at as many of the places as I normally would have cause his GF kept absolutely freaking out at food prices. She kept ordering McDonalds and TacoBell from uber eats for herself and then we felt awkward going and sitting down somewhere. Pretty sure my next trip will not be with them.

I appreciate everyone's comments and well wishes during this and I am already looking at options to head back for a long weekend sometime in October

I hope at least you & your brother had fun. It’s unfortunate when your traveling companions interests and/or budgets are out of sync with yours. I guess that’s why so many do solo trips.

Jayhawk Fan. It’s never any fun traveling with penny pinchers. We tend to splurge on vacations and only travel with family/friends that have like minds. Can you image if this GF becomes your SIL  lol.

Wish your trip would have been a winning one. Glad to hear you plan to go back soon. Another trip report soon??? I’m greedy and enjoyed your report. Thank you for sharing.
