i have not been there but my guess with with 99 percent of the tables being bac they will competive with the locals and strip.

personaly from what im seeing from overpriced room rates to bad bj rules too nothing special that this stand alone one casino can offer a player over the big ones , this sounds like the sls all over again , the only plus its on a small scale but still new construction isnt cheap.

also without sound bad its basicaly all asians resturants, how are they going to stay open all the time not enough guest to fill them , thats my observation from other place once the novelty falls off. also there pretty close to china town so lets what the resurant prices are

There are enough Asian tourists to fill the need. I will be there next week and will try the restaurants. I'll try a bowl of pei don sau yook jook, or gnau nam won ton mein and report back. Most visitors from China will definitely patronize if for nothing else than a "taste of home".

On a side note, I am curious though as to the language spoken there. English, or course, but with regard to Chinese, which in this day and time, means the Mandarin dialect. I'm old school ABC from San Francisco, where Cantonese (the language of Hong Kong) was considered the Chinese language. I speak "restaurant menu" Cantonese, and even less Mandarin, but can recognize the difference.

Also interested to see the cocktail waitresses.

Yes I am interested in your last point as well...

I am looking forward to stopping by here

PP, any ideas on what Lucky Dragon's blackjack minimums have been?

How many decks? If it's two decks it's not a bad house advantage (assuming typical conditions otherwise, about 0.55%). If it's six decks, it's mediocre (0.77ish).

its delt from a shoe so 6 or 8 deck.
they only have 4 tables

Well, it makes sense if there are only four tables. If you have four tables you are only looking for the desperate. Although those odds are crappy but not that terrible. If they really wanted to prey on the weak, they would go with 6:5.

Yeah, it's disappointing, but all other poor rules are typically dwarfed by 6:5.

I'm in Vegas now and will be going to LD in a couple of days. I'll post some pics on my Live TR.

If you look at their website, they have a nice HL room on the main casino floor and a VIP room upstairs.

I'll be there in a week to check it out as well. . . . .

There's very little in the way of Chinese banquet food in Las Vegas, so if Phoenix and Pearl Ocean turn out to be good, they'll be extremely popular for Chinese gamblers and their friends/families and be more than just a "taste of home".

It'll definitely be Mandarin Chinese, but whether the co-dialect is Cantonese depends on whether Lucky Dragon is bringing over dealers from Macau or hiring randoms from the San Gabriel Valley.

Wow, sooooo much negativity in this thread. I'm looking forward to seeing a new Casino, whatever the BJ rules - and restaurants aimed at a different demographic - how could they! Lol

Lighten up guys, it's something fresh and should be supported, not destroyed before its official opening. There have been so many non-starters since the crash that I am looking forward to seeing what they have to offer.
