I am no longer an Egg Slut virgin as of this morning. Headed over at 8 a.m. to the Cosmo and there was already a line 12 people deep. Good sandwich and biscuit. The downside was the $5 can of diet pepsi my husband had. But, Vegas. I love the empty streets of Vegas in the morning with runners and folks just going to bed.

Now sitting at the Bellagio pool enjoying the morning. Drink service was lacking until 10 a.m. don't they know Vegas drinking starts early? They have at least three pools here with the Cypress pool on a fee basis. $75 for a day chair, fruit, mocktails and iced towels.

    More to come. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

After the pool, showered and headed to Planet Hollywood. Drink service was decent. Played a little nickel poker. Held my own.

Then headed to Paris where I did not hold anything but empty pockets. Stroll through Bally's resulted in the same. Took a stroll through Cromwell where I won a bit on quarter reels. Asked for a raspberry lemon drop which was really good, but served in a small plastic cup.

By then hubby was starved. Went to the Bellagio buffet which was excellent! Holiday pricing was $49.99 each but had a free buffet courtesy of My Vegas. That was good for $40 off and we got a military discount for the second dinner. I don't like paying that much for a buffet but it was worth it in this case. Devined shrimp, fresh sushi and crab legs cut in half! Are my weight in crab legs.

Now just resting in the room for a bit.[IMG]

So last night was a bust. Ended up staying in the room all night as something I ate at the buffet did not sit well with me. My husband thinks it is because I had such a variety of foods. Who knows. I felt nauseous all night.

This morning we are up early and having coffee and croissants at the cafĂ©. Going to head over to Ellis later on for whiskey and wing Wednesday. A shot of whiskey and five wings for $5. I'm hoping to pick up my Tiny Keith concert tickets before we leave. We forgot to pick them up yesterday but pickup doesn't start until 2. Crossing my fingers. [IMG]

Had a great time at Ellis Island. Didn't win a thing but the $5 whiskey and wings was great! Wings were super tasty and the whiskey was Jack Daniels. You must order from bar so we sat there, played, ate and remaining drinks were comped. Had a great time with friends that also came to Vegas. Made enough points for an Ellis Island patriotic cap.[IMG][IMG]

Checked into Hard Rock for two comped nights, no resort fees and a bit of resort credit. So disappointed. Asked for a Comp upgrade to the HRH towers; the last time I asked for that I got a great room with a living area. This time she said, I have a petite suite. Sounds even better. It's not. Regular room, no living room and at the end of a very long hallway. Gave her a $20 tip unfortunately. Once I was in the room I decided didn't want to be there if the darn walk was so far. Requested to change rooms and they did that. Gave me a casino tower room closer to an elevator. Room was NOTHING to write home about. At all. Nothing. Oh well. It's comped. Then we discovered hubby left his shirt and pants in the HRH towers. Darn it. Had to request a key to the previous room and make the long trek to retrieve clothes. All in all, not a good start.

Decided to go to the Goose island Pub. Two years ago had a great meal there then played bar tips for comped goose island beer. Sign said they opened at 3. Well they didn't. Finally opened at 3:20 and no food menu. Just a drink menu with maybe five appetizers which they get from Mr. LUCKYS. Worst bartender evwr. No personality, seemed like he didn't want to be there. No one else in the joint at all. Burger was good and he did comp our beer, but no fun at all. Sigh. Oh well.

Now we are headed to the dueling piano bar at New York with a $50 drink credit from My Vegas then Toby Keith concert at Mandalay Bay.

The Toby Keith concert was great. Started out at The Bar at Times square with the $50 My Vegas credit which got us 5 Don Julio margaritas and Irish chicken nachos. Bill was 88 cents plus tip. Hung out in the Park outside NYNY listening to a live band while playing corn hole.

Eventually made our way to Mandalay bay event center for the comped concert. Was for MLife credit card holders. Toby was sick so he didn't sound great but he lively and entertaining.

Made our way back to Hard Rock and used the last of the days resort credits on dessert at Mr. Lucky's. Everything at that place looks wonderful. Apple pie a la mode was tasty.

Husband sat down to play slots and I joined him just to sit with him. Put in a $6 ticket and started betting 20 cents, starting hitting so bumped up to 40 cents, kept hitting and went up to 60 cents. Bumped up one last time to 80 cents and it went cold. I had the $6 up to $150. Cashed out at$135 and cashed it a night.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Really enjoying your report. You're covering so much. Too bad Hard Rock was a disappointment with the room.

I need to remember that the fancier hotel should always be he last one you stay at, not the first.

Up on Thursday and headed to the pool at 9 a.m. there is only one pool open at that time but I enjoy it. One half has a sand bottom and the water is fairly war. Had a drink and relaxed for a few hours.

Hubby got hungry so we showered up and headed to the Tuscany's Pub 365. Used a two for one coupon and had fish n chips and a big burger. Hubby bit into his before I could get a picture. They only have two bar tips in the place so played a bit to get comped drinks. They have a limited comped menu for bar tops. Total was $19 for the two meals and a soda with coupon. We had two beers and a greyhound comped.

Then headed to Mandalay Bay for a bit. I went up and down and finally walked out with what I came in with. Drink service was non existent. It seems too large of a casino to have good drink service.[IMG][IMG]

Heading home now, on Friday morning so I will wrap this up.

After Mandalay Bay, we headed to Hooters where obtaining drinks proved much easier. Sat at their whiskey bar and played nickel bar tops. Drinks flowed with no problem, drinking Big wave beer and eventually sampling whiskey. Eventually lost my stake but times were good.

Back to Hard Rock to rest. Played a bit if nickel keno, winning $150 on two cards at 15 cent a card, if you can believe it. Then back to Ellis Island for 2 for 1 Metro Pizza. Eventually back to HR. Evening was lively at HR with a whole lot of young women present for the Magic Mike show. There was also some sort of music show for someone I know nothing of. However place was rocking with a DJ at the center bar and a guitarist at the bar closer to the HRH tower. Made it a very early night and had a wonderful night sleep on the pillow top mattress at Hard Rock.

This morning up early and out the door by 8:30. Check out was long but good with total coming to $20. Was going to go to Planet Hollywood La Salsa for breakfast and a bit of shopping but the valet for Miracle Mile doesn't open until 9 so decided to head out to Silverton for breakfast. Are breakfast at Sundance and spent the most I think we spent this trip on a meal (because no coupon). Total was $37 for two huge breakfasts and two coffees.

So now we say goodbye to LV with another fun trip under our belts. Next time will be in December for rodeo and will most likely stay downtown. Until then.....[IMG]
