Lesson learned the hard way. Timeshare presentations are evil.

Ok so the presentation went 3 hours, we wee told it’s 2; but that was a lie.

We had to sit thru an hour PowerPoint with everyone. Made timeshares sound amazing but I wasn’t feeling it. He made us go around the room and say where we were all from, everyone was so hyped. When it came my turn, I said our names and from Canada. Like the shortest intro of everyone haha.

Finally when we were done, all the sales consultants were there and everyone had their own one. We had this young pretty girl, she was really nice, and I felt bad that we weren’t going to give her the sale. It was like a bunch of sharks circling their pray.

She finally gave us lunch. I was expecting a hot buffet, not Bachannal, but at least Main St quality. Nope. We got a mother penguin turkey sandwich and a bag of chips. The girl had a glittzy book too.

She told us how terrible not doing a Timeshare was and showed us the one bedroom and four bedroom suites. I was polite but told her we weren’t interested but she said she was obligated to show us everything.

She kept asking why we weren’t interested and turned into he devil. She originally was an angel but then got angry we weren’t interested. No matter what I said, they had some rebuttal. So I just started saying I’m a penguin. And they were like what. I’m like, I’m a penguin and just not interested in time travel. Devil lady is like it’s a time share not time travel. My girlfriend started eating her repulsive turkey sandwich to not laugh.

Finally she gave up and got the manager. He tried again to make a hard sell to no avail. Then they signed our stuff and we got our free stuff. I got show tickets to Kris Angel, $50 in betting, and 3 nights comped. I probably would do it again just for laughs.

Pulled the penguin card. Time share Advanced Strategy

 

It was a horrible experience but my gf got free tickets to Kris Angel and she loves that dude, so I’m happy

 

Some tips if you go on one of these:

1) Always go to the people selling it in the actual casino, not the sketchy mofos on the strip. Inside the casino is legit.

2) Also say no, the first offer they give you. We made the mistake of saying yes. Other people had much better gifts then us.

3) It takes about three hours so don’t plan anything soon.

4) Go for the earliest session. Breakfast apparently is hot. Better then the turkey sandwich.

5) Just laugh

 

At the M life Desk at Mirage to redeem 2 for 1 buffet and also free cheesecake from the MyVEGAS App. Line is like 15 deep and just two people working the desk. This is the worst!

 

This buffet has unlimited booze at the Mirage. It’s so much better then MSS and Fremont. I’ve been to Aria last year and I think this is better. I love hot crab legs

Stopped by Love. Now for some late night degen gambling. I hope the gf is lucky!

 

Played bubble craps tonight with the girlfriend. Bubble craps was fun because you can bet a smaller amount and it’s not as intimidating as real craps for a newbie like her. My girlfriend really liked the aspect of smashing the button when it was her time to roll the dice. We didn’t do so well tho bc I lost $60 on it. Nobody could make a point. I didn’t want to chase much because everyone was smoking. In Canada, it’s illegal to smoke in the casinos, so it’s so weird having people smoke regularly here. Gives us headaches.


After Craps, we went to roulette. We played inside on our favourite numbers. I couldn’t find any single zero tables at MGM. I’m used to playing at Casino Lac leamy with the single zero. So sucks here with the double zero lol. I bought in for $100, and lost $80 in like 15 minutes. Had our last $20 in with $10 on 28, my fav number and $10 on 12 her fav number. It landed on 28, then landed on 12. So in two spins, we made $700. Pretty sick. Left after our stack was at $600.

As we are heading back to Signature. This random asian lady approaches me and asks me to come here. She hit 3 7s on the slot for like $3,000. She asked me to pay; wtf. I tell her I don’t work here. She keeps talking to me in a language I don’t understand. I am not sure why she thought I was working there. I wasn’t dressed nice, I was dressed like a hobo.

 

Girlfriend still asleep. So playing some VP double double bonus poker. I made a pair of Kings on my first hand. Feel like this will be a good session. Took a pic too, to prove my pair of Kings

 

So there’s a million empty seats this morning at VP and this random dude sits beside me. Fml like why. Is this machine really calling you? There’s so many free machines. Like get out of my life old man

 

Ha! This happens at the gym all the time! There was a machine I wanted revenge on at Cosmo in the hi limit room, only on of its kind in there. Only one person in there playing, sitting right next to “my” machine lol. So I passed, it will be there next time.
