Normally when we go its 4 days/3 nights of constant casino hopping and gambling.
    No shows or attractions.

For a "special" trip we are thinking of spending a day in the canyon and possibly seeing a new show each night.
Obviously gambling is not going to be the main objective.

Back end Comps are already significantly getting cut so we don't feel like we are missing much. Plus by not using a host we may even choose a MLife property instead of the usual CET.
We will still use our Players Club Cards at any location and use the points on future trips.

If we stay at CET we may still use an offer as its usually free room and free play. We just won't contact our host to make arrangements before or after.

    Just looking for some feedback.
Do you concur to simply skip contacting the host due to the very limited amount of play?
If we skip the free rooms at CET, how to get the best rates at MLife properties. We are possibly looking at Aria to stay mid strip.

I have never used a host and am typically a very low roller so I think your planning correctly. I would not contact a host in this instance as I suspect it could hurt your future comps.

If you use your cards at all, your host will know you're there.

I think establishing a bcc d maintaining ur goat relationship is important. They will count and rank ur play either way, so might as well gave ur host get u the best deal possible.

I don't think I would contact a host. Check your rates online and boom what you feel is best. I wouldn't burn a bridge with a host if you're not gambling much. Save contacting them for a
trip you're gonna play hard on give them a reason to keep comping

I'd agree. As the old saying goes, "Happy goat, happy life".

I had the same problem. When I worked I gambled a larger bankroll and had a host at CET that did several favors for me (suite upgrades a couple of times, admission into Rio pool from my Harrah's room, admission to Qua Spa from my Harrah's room. Held a gift for me that I was coming in one day late for the offer, etc.)
Now that I am retired I almost no-play CET on my Vegas trips...there's just too many better options for my small bankroll. I still book the rooms I can get at CET comped but I no longer contact my host because the play I give them is almost nil. (I get my diamond status on regular play at my local CET property).
