I was looking to book a SWA flight at Christmas. It has kinda become a tradition for us to be in Vegas at Christmas time.

Anyway, our options were to leave Milwaukee at 6:45 AM or 2:45 PM. An hour drive to the airport, I figured 2:45 PM. Then I checked return flights for Tuesday, 12/26. Either 5 AM or 7:45 PM, arriving after midnight in Wisconsin.

So, we haven't done New Years Eve in Vegas in about 10 years. Leaving Thursday 12/28 at 2:45 PM and leaving Vegas on New Year's Day at 10:10. Much more appealing then getting up in the middle of the night to catch a flight in winter.

Coming home with the 2 time zone changes and winter darkness really sucks that time of year!

At least you'll get a little NYE fun in Vegas, Joe! :D

I think we have been on Fremont 3 times for NYE and it's okay. We are not big party people, so it's just another year gone by. We heard the worst concert on NYE about 5 years ago. It was Chicago and they sounded just awful. It was a nation wide telecast, so we recorded it while we were gone. Initially, I though maybe just a bad sound system, but when we got home, no, they just sucked.
