I throw change into a jar and about once a year I haul it off to the bank.

    Usually it's between $100 and $150.

Hubby fills a coffee can and I have a water jug. We dump change in all year and cash it in for or February anniversary trip, it generally nets $300 or so. We usually use that cash for meals that aren’t at CET hotels (where we can charge to the room and our host comp off.). This keeps the precious bankroll for gambling fun!

I used to collect coins, too. Here in Canada, we have $1 and $2 coins so I was able to save $5-10 in change per day.

Now I charge everything on a credit card to collect travel points. I miss my change jar “windfalls”. :(

our painters wife works for a bank, she said that most of the money the coin machines take as a percentage goes to fixing them (they are always broken) she said its little mechanical parts but they are super expensive

as for me, I used to pay with cash a lot and would throw it in a big empty cheese balls container, when a car gets totaled out at work, once the customer cleans it out and signs it over to go to the auction yard, we can go through and take whatever they left behind. one girl said take what ever is in there, usually loose change, and small personal items, ended up with $25 in change

now I only use plastic so I dont get much change anymore, my cheese ball container has about $200 collecting dust. ill change it in one day, lol

We take our cans and bottles to the bottle drop and once our account gets to $100 we cash it in, go to our local for lunch buffet and each spend our $50 FP. If you win, you have to pay back the $50 plus half the winnings. We had our fund up to about $300 once, but we're down to about a hundred now. Rebates checks go in there too. Here's our bank.

I take my pocket change and save it each day too. It's my extra Vegas money. This year I got $322 extra. Not bad!

My coins go toward our Disneyland trips with the kids. I always keep my change from TITOs and bring it home to add to the pot. Goes toward food $ souvenirs at the Mouse House.
In other news, Cosmo lets you donate the change to a local LV nonprofit :).

I use cash most of the time. I never count change out when making a purchase even if I have it in my pocket.
I look at it like a little mini savings plan and throw it in a jug that goes to my vegas fund, It adds to over $500 a year.
None of my local banks/credit unions charge if you have an account.

Ours goes into a gallon wine jug cash it at our bank once a year at our bank. Money goes into the food budget for Vegas . Want to have fun with TSA screeners put your change you have collected while in Vegas into a zip lock bag and put in your carryon bag. This is always good for a bit of time killed if you are not in a hurry. A coffee maker with a metal pot really throws then into a tizzy.

About once a month, I'll fish the change out of my car, dresser, etc and put it in a mason jar. Now, my son discovered the change in my car and beats me to it every month!

I took my Vegas change to a coin star in July and got a home depot gift card, which I used to buy paint, plank flooring, and a nice mirror to remodel one of my bathrooms.

I throw my change in a plastic mop bucket. It's about half full at the moment.
I take it to a coin machine at the supermarket. I don't mind paying the fee.

We have one of the ceramic globes from Paris that we used to toss change into (before I went nuts for coin collecting and started keeping a 5 gallon bucket next to my desk).

I rarely use cash anymore and the majority of the time that I get loose coins is when cashing out TITOs in vegas. I just leave them as extra tip when I check out.

All change goes in a giant pickle jar. Not giant pickles but a giant jar. I also “tax” myself when I eat fast food and all the bills from that exchange get put in a quart mason jar. I eat fast food too often that was $400 one trip.

I turn in all my change to my husband who saves it in different containers by denomination, then he wraps it up once a year before a Vegas trip. He doesn't have to wrap it as our bank will take it and drop in a machine, however he likes to count it out before turning in. One of those containers is a Jack Daniels bottle that I saved as a teen. I never told him it was a bottle that me and my old boyfriend shared on a special occasion. He took it over a long time ago or I would have tossed it already.
