    Hey All!

I'm being activated for military and would like to stay on the Las Vegas Strip during my stay. I am unable to find anything for the gov rate of $102.00 and figured I'd ask on here to see if anyone had any connections anywhere that could accommodate this rate before I book a random Hampton Inn 5 miles away from the Strip. Thanks very much!!

If you're talking midweek, you should easily be able to do that at Excalibur or Luxor, maybe Monte Carlo with their construction. Tropicana and Hooters (though not technically on the Strip) should be under that as well.

Take a look on Expedia or Hotels.com for rates and get an idea of what Strip hotels could offer, then head over to the hotel's website to usually find a better price than the other sites.

@ZDante - I know for the Total Rewards Hotels (Caesars, Planet Hollywood, Paris, Ballys, Harrahs, Rio, etc.) they offer Military discounts but not sure if it'll be at your per diem. Try booking a room directly through their website using the Troop ID link.

I'd just call some Hotels. Tell them your situation and see if they can help. The worst they'll say is no.

+1 on the troopID. You automatically get 10% rates.

Here is a link to the Caesars troopID program

    https://www.caesars.com/deals/military-discounts

Hooters came up $60.96 per night +taxes and fees. Total for your stay in a standard room using their "Spring Offer" was $985.95 . Almost all rooms have been redone within the past year. Location is not bad. Next door to the Tropicana and across the street from MGM. Here's a link.

Like one of the posters already mentioned, most if not all the strip properties offer some sort of military/government discounts. But getting the $102 lodging per diem rate might be highly unlikely for some of the higher end properties, especially on the weekends. The date's you're going, in between them there are several large conventions going on too. 2 of them being the NAB with 100k+ attendees and the Hospitality Design Expo with 18k attendees. Checking MLIFE rates shows Excal and Monte Carlo under $100 a night, and Luxor at $106 and NYNY at $109. Signature was going for $139 a night which isnt bad. Do you have status at MLIFE or CET? If you do, have you checked the rates calendar while logged in?

I corrected my above post. The Hooter's total is $ 985.95 with all taxes and fees. That's $98.60 per night. Uncle Sam will process that travel claim.

The Excaliber would be ok, but Monte Carlo is undergoing major renovations.

It looks like you can stay on the strip for that or less.

Most of those nights are under $40 (plus resort fee) at Harrahs.

LINK If the link does not work, just go to harrahs las vegas

I went ahead and entered your dates with 10% of with TroopID and this is 1.jpg the total. This is the cheapest CET room there is. Not sure if UncleSam will approve $125 per night (includes tax and resort fees).

    Quick Update -

So, I looked Into the resort fees, and if it's a mandatory fee, the government will reimburse it. So, I got a hold of my host and we ended up getting a deal done... $99 a night w/ resort fee at Aria!!!! Beyond happy with this as I get free valet parking as well with MLife, so it will be nice to use the amenities at Aria as well as the pools.

Not bad at all ZDante and if you gamble enough they will take some charges/nights off the backend! Money in your pocket. ;)
