    My Trip Report

It's been a long time since I've posted a pre-trip report but this time around I have a semi-schedule / agenda of things we want to do this trip. Seeing as how we've been going to Vegas about twice a year for the past 13 years, you would think we've done and seen everything. Not so much. We usually get caught up in the slot machines walking from casino to casino and I think for the past few trips our adventures have kind of lost something. Chasing comps and counting your cash at every potty pit stop, for an exciting trip do not make.

So to mix things up a bit, with a little help from MyVegas and some good timing it looks like we should be able to experience some new and fun times this coming weekend.

Friday - Arrival at around 10am. Instead of the usual Bell Trans shuttle ride to the Mirage, we're considering a cab (no tunnel) so we can get there quicker. Lunch at Carnegie Deli (a favorite), a schlep over to Aria/Cosmo vicinity with a stop to watch the fountains for a while (something we love and haven't taken the time for in several years) and then back on the other side. Dinner at Cravings, which I was able to get one free through MyVegas, then possibly a visit at TI and definitely a bus ride downtown to enjoy the FMS (first time for us) and our favorite 3-reel Elvis machines at La Bayou. Planning on cabbing back and spending some time at the Wynn before possibly an early night for us (about midnight?) due to the fact that we are definitely not as young as we used to be!

Saturday - Honestly not sure what to do this day. We have $100 in RCs so will use some of that on either breakfast or lunch at HHAGG and check out the "new" Quad. We'll give the CET properties a bit of play this day just to let them know we are still around (not that we ever get anything good from them) and then if we liked HHAGG the first time around, could possibly use our 2nd BOGO coupon for lunch or dinner. Another thanks to MyVegas we have 3rd row seats for Love, which we've see before from 2nd level seats but are looking forward to seeing again. Probably a night of slots between Mirage, Harrahs and TI since they are all right there after finally seeing the Sirens show. I'm not a fan of walking at night on the strip within a mob of drunken college kids.

Sunday - This day will be south strip day since it is such a jaunt down there. We will get a monorail pass and board at Harrahs. Another MyVegas perk will bring us to the Shark Reef @ Mandalay Bay (another first) and some fun at Luxor and NYNY. Thinking about checking out the Tropicana since their renovation to see what the luck is like there. Some great timing of this trip brought me to get us tickets for the Billboard Music Awards at MGM and that starts at 5 (totally stoked about this one) after the show I plan for us to be doing some celebrity "stalking" (if we're lucky) and trying our hand at the Lion's Share machine along with the Majestic Lions. Could possibly be a late night at MGM/NYNY. We don't like staying there too much but we like to play there.

Monday - Our flight doesn't leave until around 6pm so we have the morning/afternoon to do whatever. The state of our bankroll by this day will determine what we end up doing, so this is TBD until my post-trip report. Hubby wants to do some pool time and although it will undoubtedly be hotter than a well digger's elbow this weekend, I haven't worked out in a year and will not be seen in public wearing a swimsuit. So, we might stroll near the pool, fully clothed, but there is no chance in hell I'm going swimming.

I have no idea why I'm here rambling about this, just that I'm bored and all I can think about is Vegas. I don't even know how I'm going to make it through the week! I can get one more MyVegas reward and I have about 45k more LPs to use but I have no idea what to get. So I'm sure I'll get something and make time for it somewhere in there. I've vowed this time to tread lightly on the penny machines, try my luck at some good old-fashioned 3-reel dollar machines and play blackjack and craps like we used to. This is my plan, not sure what hubby has in mind!

Anyways, countdown 5-4-3-2-1 has begun! Thanks for listening!

Jealous that your countdown clock is at 5 days :Þ

Seriously, though, sounds like a great plan. Hope you have lots of luck and a great time. I'd be interested in hearing how you like the Shark Reef. Been considering it as a MyVegas reward.
