The group I’m staying with for my trip next month has rented out one of those massive houses on AirBnB. We’re staying near the airport but on the side opposite the strip. It’s a part of town I don’t know too well, so I’m wondering if there are any locals casinos in that area I should try to check out. I’m mostly a VP, dice, and pai-gow poker player, so decent games and good bars would be my primary interest.

    Thanks, in advance.

If you are west of the strip, the South Point would be your best bet.

Without knowing exactly where - hard to say. Google Maps might help a little. And, maybe the strip is closer?

For some reason, that map will come up with hotels. Just change the rate to $00 and only casinos will show up. But - you need to know exactly where you will be at.

I believe the Silverton would be closest based on your description. It's a nice little gem of a casino.

If you post it link to the house or provide an intersection, we can give you more useful information.
    That said:
Opposite side of the airport from the strip suggests eastern Ave. and Tropicana to me.
You may not be too far from the Boulder strip. Head over to the Jokers wild for $1 craps and $3 blackjack. Always fun! I strongly recommend that you have a car.

Also the pinball Hall of Fame is nearby and worth visiting for an hour. It's a good place to kill time before heading back to the airport.

Uh, PT's on Sunset, maybe? That's local and about as close to the airport as you can get. :)

South Point ...easy access.....10 mins from airport and no dealing with the traffic on the northside of the airport.
