Obligatory pool drink shot - Strawberry margarita for me and draft shock top for jol. Got to love how quiet the pool is and prices compared to Vegas. $13 for both .

Enjoying your trip report. I absolutely love Oatman! Ate lunch there one time and feed the burrows many carrots. Probably my favorite side trip to Vegas ever!!

No Pai Gow tables open at Aquarius or golden nugget as they are short on dealers.

Ended up at the trip and started well but a new dealer came on and cleared $100 from each of us in 20 minutes

Have walked back to the riverside for their 24 hr cafe for a grilled cheese.

The worship at the cult of don Laughlin is strong (but creepy)

Flight home from lax tomorrow at 20:45. Will leave Laughlin by noon for the 5 hr ish drive to la.

we’re all done gambling bar any last minute slots in the morning and for the first time ever we are leaving up. For a 12 night trip with plenty of gaming that’s extraordinary. Our low rolling budget was an initial $1000 each for the 12 nights and we were expecting to withdraw another $500 each of we blew through that early in the trip

Final tally is that jol finishes up $490 and I’m only down $140 for a combined win of $350 .

The biggest win of the trip is that we became Aunty and uncle twice over during this trip . Jols sister had a baby boy on Monday and as I got my royal I also got a text from my sister saying that she had a baby girl last night . She’s my favourite lucky niece and she’s less than 12 hours old.

It’s been another great trip. 1:19 am now so I might post some final thoughts in the am. Thanks for reading along

Congratulations on the niece and nephew! Nice job on the gambling front. Fun to follow your 'off the beaten path' adventures too.

Uneventful trip from Laughlin to lax.

Final treat is going into the lounge pre flight for my favourite cocktail - the bramble

12 nights has been long enough on the drinking and gambling front for us. Last few days when we had the car and did some side trips were definitely needed if only to get fresh , non smokey air in the lungs.

We’ve discovered that for us, sometimes settling for a comped room to use my Vegas stuff isn’t enough. Our sweet spot accommodation wise is paying for a higher level of room at a cheaper hotel. Favourite stay of the trip was surprisingly the suite at Stratosphere .

Next time we will consider splitting 50/50 Vegas and Laughlin . Laughlin is just so much more relaxing in terms of pools etc but unfortunately doesn’t have the nicer rooms with big tubs. Also the abundant multi line nickel vp suits our budget and boredom threshold on single line vp. It’s fairly smokey but most casinos have a large non smoking area too.

Anyway that’s the lot until hopefully next July (grandad teenager minding permitting) when we will celebrate 25 years together and my turning 40 in April. Cheers for reading along
