    My Trip Report

Sitting at the airport right meow and about to board in 30 min. Here is the rundown.
    Travel partner - husband
    Staying - SLS
Most anxious to - lay by the pool
Favourite gambling - penny slots, periodic roulette, blackjack at Ellis Island, horse race at NYNY
Budget - pretty tight CAD to USD exchange rate is a bit like a drop kick to the heart. We are hoping to live by the happy hours. Any tips greatly appreciated.
Travelling around via - monorail and bus
Favourite penny slots that we have to play - walking dead, willy wonka, the wizard of oz games, Tarzan, wheel of fortune, any of those games where you keep getting incrementally better bonus wheels (like the buffalo thunder), cleopatra
Favourite non pool/gambling activity - karaoke. Any tips again much appreciated!

My husband got a rotten almond in his snack bag and ate it. So I feel like the odds are in our favor. When is there ever a rotten almond in a bag of almonds. I'll tell you when. VERY RARELY.

Ok so we just walked into our room. World tower. Pretty jazzy. A wee bit humid.

I'm the interests of frugality I suggested we take the bus from the airport. An hour and a half later we dragged our sorry selves and suitcases to the hotel. Check in quick and easy.

We are hangry! Now to eat.

Ouch. An hour and a half? Did you have to wait long to get on a bus?

It was a while but the longest part was driving down Las Vegas blvd. which was exciting but wore off once we passed mgm. Then we sat at a red for 10 minutes. And the next one for another ten. And so on.

It was maybe not worth the cab fare. But not sure what that would have cost.

Great day getting day drunk and spending the entire day on a trek to fashion show mall for.. flip flops. Shopping fail. But we donated twenty per casino along the way so that was a time. SLS doesn't have awesome slots.

We spent the last cpl hours by the bar at the pool at SLS. Crushed some vodka red bull. Got half my face sunburnt and am looking like Harvey Dent. Get it!?!?? Also the pool is the pool version of Harvey Dent. One half empty.

I'm not sure where we are headed now. My husband is crashed out beside me. I'm hoping we can find somewhere that still has happy hour goin on. Yay Vegas!

I would have signed up for Uber with a Google maps code worth up to $15 on your first ride. ;)

Not sure about happy hour, but I do know that SLS has great beer on draft at the Unami bar, and they comp it while playing VP.

To sit on a bus for that long just to get from the airport to the hotel, when there are cabs, Uber and Lyft available? And dragging luggage to boot? I'm sorry, I just don't get the frugality while going on a vacation. Is $15.00 bucks for an Uber, especially on vacation with bags in tow, not worth the investment?:bang:
