I’ve done exactly this all morning….. As I suspected, those two donuts, along with only a few hours of sleep, completely knocked my ass out. Just woke up after a three hour nap and feel completely revitalized. Time to hit the shower and get out and about. Still a little overcast outside; might hit up the pool. Looking forward to celebrating @luck.ofthe.draw ’s new job tonight with a great dinner at Bavette’s. There’s a big steak there with my name all over it.
I love that place. My favorite place in all of Cosmo may be the big whirlpool sitting near the waterfall. I put my head on the deck and fell asleep there. Soooo relaxing
Spa was great. More details in my recap later tonight. Time to shower, shave and get ready for the celebration dinner with @luck.ofthe.draw tonight @ Bavette’s. Still a little bit cloudy. The sun has been trying to burn itself through all day but can’t quite get there. It’s nice and relaxing out on the terrace right now.
I…I think that’s a photo of Qua at Caesars, right? Haha I could see the similarity in lighting + waterfall, though!
I was thinking the same thing. Wish Cosmo’s spa had those heated stone beds. The waterfall in the Cosmo heated pool is nice though. It was the first thing I did..
Try the Hammam next time, heated stone circle with negative air. You’ll do a transfer to sauna and whirlpool with a massage mixed in. It’s the same cost as a 120 minute massage.
Damn, I didn’t even know about the Hammam Spa here. I always thought, for whatever reason, that was was the massage and treatment side of the spa. Thanks for the tip.
No way... you must be mistaken seriously, I thought it looked a little off. Narrower. Obviously, I wasn't going to take pics in a spa But I've replaced with an accurate web pic.
Massages are upstairs. And IMO navigating that steep marble staircase in the slippery sandals they provide is an adventure unto itself.
Yessir. They were closing the table when I walked out to the pool deck; I’m thinking it was around 6:00 pm.
Bavette’s has that old school steakhouse feel. Service, drinks and food were top-shelf. Each trip I’m always hoping to add one restaurant to my rotation. For this trip, Bavette’s is easily that restaurant. Big, big thanks to everyone who recommended Bavette’s in the “Best Steakhouse” thread.
Drinks were really good and strong. I had the Bavette’s Punch, with three kinds of rum. @luck.ofthe.draw had a champagne cocktail and then some kind of gin cocktail. Started out with Shrimp Scampi that was delicious. The pan-seared garlic was perfect and the shrimp were moist and tasty. Very good appetizer to start things off. LOTD had the roasted chicken and she said it was really good. We split a side of Mac and Cheese which was a nice complement to the meal. I had the 10 oz ribeye, medium rare, with frites. Out of this world fantastic. I’d easily have it again. No dessert, we were pretty full by the time we left. LOTD ended up taking home some of her chicken and the remains of the Mac and Cheese. This might me my go-to steakhouse on the strip. Beautiful restaurant without being stuffy. Outstanding service and just an overall great atmosphere.
