    My Trip Report

Heading out tomorrow, this will be our first time visiting NYC.

Flying from Macon, Ga to Baltimore/Washington International (BWI). Then we'll take Amtrak to NYC.
Our flight out of Macon is at 9:30am and we need to be there 45 minutes early to check bags. The airport is 15-20 minutes from our house.

We're staying near Penn Station at the New Yorker.

So far we have the Radio City Rockettes scheduled for Monday at 11:00am and Top of the Rock at 4:00pm. Planning to grab lunch and visit Central Park after the Rockettes. Maybe get some oysters at Grand Central Oyster Bar or Docks after Top of the Rock.

For Tuesday we have the Met Museum scheduled for 10:00am and Wicked that evening at 7:00pm. Supper will be at Russian Samovar & Tolstoy's Lounge.

Kim has mentioned going to the Sex Museum but we haven't booked it yet.
I've had thoughts of taking the ferry over to Staten Island but wonder if it's worth the time involved. Thoughts please.

    Nothing planned yet for Wednesday.

If you make it to the oyster bar at Grand Central Terminal, you will be close to the Whisper Gallery.

Have fun! I’ll be driving up there the day after you leave on Friday.

Also agree on passing on Staten Island, not worth the time to get over there.

I 100% vote yes for the Staten Island ferry. Even moreso if you time it to be going back towards Manhattan during sunset.

I would keep Wednesday open. The city is fun to walk around and explore- Little Italy, China town, the three outdoor markets ( union square, Columbus circle, Bryant Park) the village , walking fifth avenue and seeing the fancy stores.
If you like chocolates try teuchers up by the tree their champagne truffles are amazing but $$$
And then again just walking around Times Square - the outdoor vendors the smell of chestnuts and the crowds
    Enjoy

Agree on setting time to explore by foot, even if one neighborhood. The weather should be decent.

If you don't mind heights I would try and see if you can get tickets to the Summit to see the NY metro area from four directions and experience some cool installations. It's brand new and right next door to Grand Central Station. A clear day will be key but the views are amazing. I think you'll have clear days for the rest of your trip.

The plane is too small for most carry-on bags so we checked them in the terminal. Next time we need to gate check them. We have to eat in the food court outside of the secure area.
