Love seeing all your pics! I have a love/hate with the Orleans. Boyd tried to make us all go there when they blew up the Stardust. I don’t like those creepy heads that float over the table games, but the rooms are ok and I like the restaurants.

    Sending you luck today!

Thanks for the well wishes everyone!

Woke up, got ready and walked up to McDonald’s for a quick breakfast. Then hit Casino Royale for an ATM withdrawal. I stopped by Flamingo on the way down to drop off some cash and I stumbled across a pelican feeding. I didn’t know that most of the birds in Flamingo’s habitat were rescued. They were pulled from either fishing nets or trash or other crap and now they are given a second chance at life where they are fed and pampered all day. I love it.

Made my way down to Planet Hollywood and still too early to register for the tournament. So I started playing some VP and slots and happened to notice that my tier score was well above 5000. Went up to the TR desk and they confirmed that I have qualified for Platinum status!

Next room I book in Vegas should be at a great price. Now I’m going to put this new card to use a little while I wait for poker registration to open up.

All signed up for 40K in a Day. It’s taking place upstairs on the mezzanine, not the normal PH poker room. They have a MASSIVE area set up. I’ll be killing the time with slots and some VP, along with 112 mg of THC of course.

    Thanks!

After a down morning, Quick Hits at Paris comes in to save the session with a $75 hit. Not all heroes wear capes.

Played a little further at Paris and finally got a Buffalo Gold bonus though nothing to write home about. At one point about 35 min ago I sat down at Gustav’s Bar to play some VP and get a beer to help wash down the gummies. Overall left Paris up $50, which I promptly gave back upon returning to PH!

Now it’s poker time. I am absolutely stoked for this. This is the biggest tournament I’ve ever played in and I’m going to try my very best to compete. I’ve been thinking a bit about strategy and haven’t thought of anything good. So I’m going to hope for good cards and as usual just do whatever feels right at the time. I’m sure this will be more competitive of an atmosphere so I’m going to keep my mouth shut and focus.

Hope to be updating you at the break!

Its a damn travesty that CET locks the Quick Hit jackpots where they should be progressives. Makes me not want to play them seeing those flat payouts. Congrats on the multiple hits of 6!

Made it to the break. This tournament is big, 225 entrants or so. 30 minutes levels. Started with 15K in chips and now I have about 8K. I was hanging around 11-13K until the last 10 minutes or so when I tried to make a move to at least go into the break up. No such luck.

I have been getting dealt good cards but have played them poorly. For example I managed to lose with AA to trip 3s that came on the river. However with the cards I’m being dealt I have some reason for hope. Realistically I will have to go all-in sometime soon so I need to time it right and make it an aggressive move, not one I’m boxed into.

You’ll most likely be hearing from me soon but if not, I’m still in it to win it.

Got knocked out towards the end of Level 8. My all-in after the break was well timed and went well but couldn’t continue to build. My last all in was pure speculation since I had only 8 or so big blinds left. I am very glad to have competed, it was really a great time. That’s most likely it for my poker tournaments this trip, possible I do one more tonight. But for now, need to get myself some lunch and then back to the slots further north on the Strip!

Quickest lunch ever at Mon Ami Gabi. Sat in the inside terrace which is really the best of both worlds. Got a steak frite au poivre which came out 5 minutes after I ordered it done perfectly. Also got a glass of their house Pinot noir.

Now headed to Cromwell to get back to the slots!
