I had a couple PTO days to burn before the end of the year, so I figured I would take one today and play the 11 am poker tournament at the Borgata. It's $100 total entry including a $20 bounty.
With the rain today, it may take a little longer, but should be under an hour ride, so I'll leave around 9:30.

I wasn't going to do a trip report, but figured why not, I can get some pics of borgata at holiday time.

Looking forward to your TR!! Good luck on your poker tourney.... keep telling yourself.. don't go on tilt just because that A hole call you with 5 6 off suit when you raised with AA :bang: it's a tourney you need to stay in !!!! Have a great time :woohoo::poker:
 
Good luck,I've declared a no AC policy until Mrs. JG'S birthday in Jan.She's declared a lifetime ban on staying at Harrahs(dirty rooms) and the Eden lounge because a guard told her she was talking too loud.What?? it's a casino bar and shes just talking to me not bothering anybody or giving any crap to the bartender. We'll still go to the Xbar in the afternoon
 
Made it in about 50 minutes which was good considering the weather.

First win of the day. I wanted to upgrade to black label from mlife gold but I don't have a current card since mlife ends in October. Gave it a shot and they allowed me to show them on the mlife site that I was gold.
 
I'm out already. Pretty much on purpose I think I have what my wife had over the weekend with stomach issues. I didn't want to stay around for hours and then have to drive home woh this getting worse. Had AA went all in after the turn and lost it. Based on the board and player I wound the have done that under normal circumstances.
 
The Borgata is such a nice property...and they have fair vp tables and decent table rules. I'm concerned about what the future might bring when MGM takes an iron hold on the place in 2017.
Sorry to hear you got booted from the tourney with AA. Sucks. Go home, have some hot tea, and relax while your body fights the stomach issues.

Well, turns out I made the right call [ pun intended ] to leave the tournament and go home. Not long after I got home it started and I have been laying down sleeping from like 1 pm yesterday. Feel little better now.
