Following for updates, will hopefully be there Saturday!
What a first night.
After checking in we decided to go cheap at Taco Bell cantina. Not my choice, but I went with it. It did the trick and filled us up. Zero mask compliance.
After that we decided to pick up some supplies from Walgreens. Once settled we headed down to Cosmo for our $400 group pull. We found a lightning link that was speaking to me and bet between $12.50 and $7.50- spin.
once we all had done our spins, we had $95 left and decided to just go for, then this happened with me hitting it at $12.50 a spin.
We then carried on and hit another free spin bonus. Eventually played it down to $1000 and cashed out $150 profit a piece. Great start.
From here we went to get a Fat Tuesday where Bubba Gump is. We then walked and checked out Parris, Flamingo Linq, and Harrahs.
Paris seemed semi busy, Flamingo was slow, Linq was literally dead and I mean dead (no tables open.)
Harrah’s didn’t Carry the vibe that we wanter either and we decided to head to Caesars, so we walked through the forum shops.
I lost $100 in quick fashion in 6/5 BJ while my buddy did ok. My brother and BIL went to get us two more Fat Tuesdays.
i decided to try my luck in the HL room at Caesars on lightning link again at $5 a bet with $100 in. Got down to around $50 and hit this:
I played it down to $500 and then found my 23 year old brother playing $5/spin accidentally as well. He somehow hit this:
We then walked through Bellagio to Cosmo playing slots along the way and for the first time in my life I’m up on EVERY slot I’ve played.
I’m up around 400-500
My brother up around 300
My buddy up around $200
My BIL down around $400 (bad BJ luck)
Ellis island breakfast, myVEGAS FP run, and Fremont tomorrow night is on the agenda for our Thursday. Stay tuned.
w00t off to a great start Here’s to continued good times and winning
Awesome start except BIL! Keep it up!
Yeah yeah yeah! Love to hear your thoughts on the vibe at Cosmo and let us know what machines you are liking
Congrats on your marriage! My wife and I did the same thing 5 years ago. We had a friend get his "certificate" online and married us in his backyard with her family. My wife was still in school so we had a reception that summer and invited my family and friends. It was great because no one had to dress up and everyone enjoyed just hanging out, eating food, playing games and drinking. No one had to travel for a wedding. I also feel the "gifts" were more generous because they could show up and leave as they want to.
You said you were playing some craps and other table games. What game where you playing and what were the minimums? My wife and I haven't tried the Cosmo and plan to hit it on our trip in August. That view is beautiful!
The Cosmo I would say it’s the least enforcing place regarding masks but that doesn’t mean they aren’t.
What I mean by that is they allow groups to drink together at a machine with their masks down as long as they are playing. I didn’t see anyone walking without one. This may change during the weekend with larger crowds.
Cosmo was by far the busiest casino followed by Caesars last night mid-strip.
Linq depressed me. There was maybe 5 people (not exaggerating) in the whole place, zero tables open.
I had so much success with the slots last night I didn’t even touch the tables outside of my $100 loss at Caesars. That should change today.
Table minimums thus far have been $15+ everywhere I’ve been.
At Ellis Island now. Low rolling BJ and then MyVEGAS run today. Fremont tonight.
Quick double up on $10 BJ.
Currently sitting in Mandalay Bay. Chased a Ultimate Fire Link Mini and Minor and got squat. $250 down the drain.
Went to find a table game and it’s slim pickings currently. One craps table and two blackjack tables, all full.
I don’t spend much time down here normally, after being in Ellis Island this place smells so good. Really nice and airy, people keeping their distance. Like normal when I’ve come down here before, it’s not super packed.
@RTCraft - enjoy Ellis! That's a place we will be checking out this time. I've heard so much about it. Love to play some craps there one evening. I heard it was a small craps table though.
Fremont should be fun. I recommend Golden Gate for craps. My favorite for sure.
Oh man I always have time for Ellis, but I’ve never done breakfast there. You have me thinking. Awesome first night!
Ill do more of an update later on, but just wanted to point out that Bellagio has three $10 BJ tables open right now on Thursday afternoon.
Have you been south of Cosmo at all? I'm booked at Aria in a couple of weeks for two midweek nights, but am considering moving the reservation because I'm a bit concerned it'll be completely dead down there.
Down there this morning. Mandalay was fairly dead but to be honest I’ve never seen it that busy so it didn’t seem much different. Luxor and Excalibur seemed normal to me considering the day and time.
MGM was as dead as I’ve ever seen it and it’s not close. As you got closer to the lobby it got busier probably due to the weekend. NYNY seemed slow as well.
This wall as before noon on a weekday so you may want to take that into consideration.
Where did u find an open Fat Tuesday?
I just got back from Vegas and was at the Linq with my buddy who played on the tables for a few hours last night. I am not sure why you keep saying the Linq tables were closed. We were there from around 7 to 9 pm. He played at the tables by the Guy Ferrari restaurant that is currently closed down.
Guy Fieri's Las Vegas Kitchen is now open. Ate there last Thursday. Table games were also open and someone got tackled for being too crazy at the bj tables there so yep Vegas fashion still.
Also @RTCraft I am surprised you found an open Fat Tuesday. All the ones I came across were closed. Can you provide pics of it when you get a chance?
I am also following to see how good your MyKonami freeplay went. Good luck!
