    My Trip Report

    Good Morning!

We’re officially on countdown watch now as we take off for Vegas from RDU in 28.5 hours.

This trip is a make up trip from March during March Madness that also lined up with my bachelor party as I was due to get married in April. Needless to say neither happened although my wife and I did have a private ceremony with our family with the hopes to reschedule the wedding in August. Because of that, this trip was planned!

The wedding in August is now shelved again until sometime in 2021. A trip that started with 7 in March lost 3 guys, but gained 2 more upon rescheduling. The 2 that we gained officially jumped the shark this week due to having to quarantine for a week or more once they return which leaves us down to 4. A little bummed, but that’s 2020 for ya! My wife and I have both also gone through job changes and a move this year, so a trip is much needed.

I’ll be 31 in August, my first trip since my 30th last year with my fiancé now wife. 9th trip overall, all since 2015. Joining me is my brother who is almost 23, my brother in law who is 27, and one of my buddies from my childhood who is 30 who also happens to be my brother in laws brother. Don’t you love small towns in NC? We all plan on quarantining upon return as we are lucky enough to be working from home right now. This will be my brother and BIL’s second trip, and my Other buddies third.

Accommodations are at Cosmo thanks to Kevin Sweet and this forum. He matched my comped Caesars Palace offer + resort fees with an offer of $199 for the first night and 3 comped nights after with no resort fees. Two Queen Terrace Fountain View. I stayed in the same room back in 2016 with no fountain view so needless to say I’m pumped.

The theme of this trip with essentially be gambling, gambling, drinking (where we can find one, and gambling. We’ll try to do one decent dinner one night as well. I’m probably the highest of all the rollers between us and I’m still a very low roller. I’ve gotten into slots and VP more the past few trips and look to give Cosmo some love there. BJ and craps my table games.

I’ll update this mostly in the morning or evening when I have a break or just hanging out and more than anything will be providing observations for those thinking of making the voyage themselves sometime soon. Any questions that you may have please let me know!

Think folks will know where I’m from with this gaiter?

Bought it local from a company out of High Point. Super breathable.

Take off in 6 hours. 0AFEC392-12F4-4B3B-89B1-6D372AA88425.jpeg

My husband and I are scheduled to arrive at Cosmo on Saturday for a much needed getaway! I am a little nervous so looking forward to reading your observations! Have a great trip!

Also, If you visit the pool, any observations on mask use at the pool and enforcement of masks while on daybeds/in cabanas is greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!

Made it through TSA easily. SW has its own terminal at RDU so I can’t really tell a difference in the amount of traffic as sometimes it’s slow here and others it’s crowded based on past experience.

Headed to Baltimore first and then on to Vegas. Supposed to land 5PM Vegas time. 6D29CD62-620B-43D7-9686-07E271BCE0A8.jpeg

The mask usage in the Baltimore Airport is not enforced at all. Not a political opinion just an observation. Getting ready to board now.

    Next update coming from Vegas!
