Was back at MGMNH this afternoon for a couple hours. Pretty much everything normal, with four $50 craps and two (one crapless) $25 craps. Roulette was a mix of $25/50, both 00 and 000 at either denom. Regular 3/2 blackjack started at $50, 3/2 Pontoon at $25. 6/5 mostly $25, although there were a couple of $15 tables in one area. Cheapest carny I saw was a $15 casino war near the craps area. The main carny area closest to the garage was mostly $25, but there were several $50 tables mixed in all of them, including UTH, 3CP, and 4CP. The thought of a $50 min 3CP table........

Yeah, seems like the higher minimums are now starting to even creep into the carny games. There are two pits on either side of the aisle as people enter from the parking garage, and the one on the right has carny games and roulette, and the one on the left has 6/5 blackjack and roulette. Pre-covid, I was used to seeing a fair number of the carny tables at the $10 level. To see no tables in that area under $25 during two visits over the past 10 days, with probably four of them at $50 today, is wild.

And I saw the same friend today that I saw a few Thursday nights ago. He said the $50 craps table he was on that evening bumped to $100 later.

They keep raising the minimums and people keep playing. Place is still jam packed.

July 2021 casino revenue numbers released today. Another record for the state. The stats compared July 2021 to July 2020. Casinos were open for all of July 2020, but only at 50 percent capacity, so I'll also include comparisons to July 2019 as well

State at $180.1 million, up 28.7 percent from July 2020, up 20.6 percent from July 2019
Live! at 62.9 million, up 22.1 percent from July 2020, up 27.6 percent from July 2019
Horseshoe at 19.3 million, up 22.4 percent from July 2020, but flat from July 2019 (shock!)
MGMNH at 72.3 million, up 38.2 percent from July 2020, up 19 percent from July 2019

Three small casinos combined at 25.6 million, up 26.3 percent from July 2020, up 28.6 percent from July 2019

    Impressive

72 million at MGM is unreal. Must be blowing away all expectations they could have possibly dreamed of.

Went to MGMNH today to watch the WFT collapse in the second half against the Chiefs at Tap Sports Bar. Did walkthroughs of the floor before and after:

    945 am:
    00 roulette: 1 x 15, 2 x 25; 000 roulette: 1 x 25
    UTH: 2 x 15, 2x 25
    4CP: 1 x 25
    Craps: 2 x 25, 1 x 25 crapless
    Pai Gow: 1 x 75
    Mini Bac: 1 x 50
    6/5 BJ: 4 x 15, 3 x 25
    3/2 Pontoon: 2 x 15, 2 x 25
    3/2 H17: 3 x 50, 1 x 75
    HL: 3/2 S17 2 x 100, 2 x 200

    After the game, 415 pm:
    00 roulette: 4 x 25, 5 x 50, 1 x 75; 000 roulette: 5 x 25, 1 x 50
    UTH: 5 x 25, 2 x 50
    3CP: 2 x 25
    4CP: 1 x 25, 2 x 50
    Casino War: 1 x 15
    Craps: 4 x 50, 1 x 25 crapless
    Pai Gow: 2 x 100, 1 x 200
    Mini Bac: 1 x 50, 1 x 75
    6/5 BJ: 1 x 10 (!), 16 x 25, 1 x 50
    3/2 Pontoon: 1 x 25, 2 x 50
    3/2 H17: 2 x 75, 2 x 100
    3/2 S17: 1 x 75, 2 x 100
HL: 3/2 S17 5 x 200; single 0 roulette 200. They had moved a craps table in there, but the pit boss said it was temp for a special player

The new sportsbook looked nice. Not sure if there is a charge to sit at the bar. I asked one of the employees who said the $75 for the auditorium seats only includes beverage credit, but not food

Masks were required in the casino.

I'm shocked if people are playing those table minimums outside of the Vegas Strip..... I'd pass if I stopped there and that's what the table limits were..$25 minimum 6/5 Blackjack? No thanks. And I'd skip UTH and 3CP at $15.

Holy crap! $75, $100 and $200 Pai Gow? Seriously. I'd expect that in a high limit room on the Strip in Vegas...

I checked out MGMNH while on a trip to MD a week ago, and it was packed midweek with those crazy limits. They must have a fair amount of high rollers cause the VIP parking lot had a ton of Noir Spots filled(unless people are just parking at those, but looked like they were blocked with a sign that an attendant had to move to let you park after showing your card). I don't understand it either. I found no redeeming quality to the place. No room at all, packed in like sardines, food overpriced, staff wasn't friendly at all, crappy limits.
