    Just don't, don't do it.

Really nice "Vegas" style casino. Absolutely the worst odds and conditions you can find.

I'll admit, I'm spoiled by downtown Vegas with some fair options ( i get it the casino needs to have an edge ) but jeebus. $25 BJ with 8 decks is the best you can do?

There wasn't ONE playable Video Poker game ( @mjames1229 this may be your place! )

Decent selections of restaurants, non smoking (outside covered patio with heaters allows smoking and gaming) are some positives.

    Just my 2 cents.

a lot of these newer gaming states have super high tax rates, they basically are forced to offer shit payouts to fund the tax.

Actually, the outside area has playable video poker.

9/6 double double bonus, 9/6 triple double bonus, 8/6 bonus deluxe, 9/5 job at 25 cents / 50 cents / $1. Nothing higher than $1 is good at Maryland live.

(They do have 9/6 triple double bonus with ultimate x at $1 level inside but the money goes quick!)

As the old adage goes.....a fool and his money

They obviously aren't hurting with terrible pay tables. Don't get me wrong, Live! is a nice casino and I get it they have to make $$.

We quit going to the locals except for concerts. Md taxes are sky high and the payback as stated reflects that. Plus, Md doesnt allow the casino to comp drinks...you pay for every one. Charlestown WV isn't much better.

I live close to live and the national harbor casino, 40 min drive to live and 15 to national harbor. I haven't gone for a few years but have driven the 3.5 hours each way AC 7 times in that span of that gives perspective. MD casinos are awful, and state law prohibits comped drinks.

I was at MGMNH on Friday night watching a friend play $25 craps. One of the things he's pointed out in the past and did again the other night was how nobody seemed to be having any fun at the tables. Kinda of like the same stigma AC has often had, although I have seen people having fun at the Borgata.

I live a little over 2 1/2 hours from Baltimore and often use BWI to fly to Vegas. When I have an early AM flight, I'll go up the night before and stay close to Arundel Mills, so that I can go to the DuClaw taproom. I have never even had a temptation to set foot in Live!. For that matter, I live an hour and a half from Charles Town and haven't been there in years. As far as I'm concerned, high taxes + low competition = a terrible deal for gamblers. Thanks, but no...

I guess I'll go there and National Harbor eventually (seeing as how I'm in the same county as MGMNH), but...meh.

I only frequent MGMNH and Live! for the poker as they both have very solid rooms, especially MGMNH. The rest of the gaming is pretty brutal unless you are willing to play green chips. Plenty of good blackjack at the $25 level if you know where to look but if you are looking for a red chip game it is 100% 6:5.

I travel down for work quite a bit and play there often...same basic story, usually lose. I find horseshoe much looser with slots...maybe that’s why they are losing money...

Really? Seems like once they dropped the Brittany slots they tightened up the rest of the slots as punishment.

It depends on the night. Different shows/artists attract different crowds. DC is very diverse.

Some nights the place is crazy hopping- great vibe. Others I make sure to get escorted to my car after cashing out.

MGM NH has hands down one of the best Poker Rooms in the USA.

It’s always busy. But it’s a tough room. Even at the 1/3 Tables you better know your game.

Kind of surprised to see those numbers for January. Had the shutdown and a couple bad weather weekends. Instead it was the same pace as previous months.

I wonder why nobody at Horseshoe has said "Hey all the other ones are getting 5 to 15% increases every month and we're flat. Something needs to change."

Not surprising. Went to Horseshoe last Thursday and they barely had any tables open. Lots of people just randomly sitting (not playing) around at slots too. On the plus side, the steakhouse was empty.
