Pooop..lost $300 at Cal in three different Lightning links...came over here to MSS to play dice.
Full tables; were at the $10 one and it’s full!

Well that lasted a while..we met the owners of the VegasVacation podcast, playing dice at MSS.
We lost $100 each at MSS, so we went over to The Cal; with $500; played a while there; but ultimately, lost...
Strangely enough, at The Cal, all the crap tables were $10! And they were all pretty well packed up...I guess Boyd has a total new strategy, and from the crowd I seen at MSS and Cal; it seems to be working.
We’re in an uber right now back from Cal; to Cosmo..and I seriously am frightened for my life!! Lady is doing 40mph on the 15!! And she can’t keep her foot on the gas pedal so the car is going jerk-jerk-jerk; it’s making me sick and he’ll she maybe drunk!

Love your trip reports but I always wonder how come you don’t fly, it’s gotta be like one hour from sjc airport to Las Vegas and thinking about the 7+ hour drive back must be a killer especially if you have work the following day or week.
I used to drive from SoCal when I was younger before I got into the miles and points game with the airlines and various credit cards, and now I fly and rent cars for free using points when I’m Vegas. Also, SJC got a really nice airport with all the lounges I can’t think of a good reason not to fly. Get the companion pass from Southwest which means free bags, you can cancel or modify with no penalty, and get tons of points from the credit cards so it’s always free. No more finding it hard to drive the 7+ hours when you have those losing trips at least when you fly it’s only an hour or so.

    Just trying to help :)

I’ve got the various credit cards (allegiant and frontier) however they honestly don’t earn points easy enough to cover flights as much as we go...
Flying on the weekend is $400-$800 for both of us round trip ($400 if we book two months+ in advance; otherwise it taps $800)
The rental + gas was $175.
I know it’s goinf to suck balls driving back tommorow morning...but I’m a degenerate. (Maybe the only true one on this forum haha)

    To edit this:
To earn a free flight; we’d have to put literally $8000 a month through the Allegiant card (1% back in flight points) and we honestly don’t have that much spend per month (that isn’t mortgage + car payments)
I definitely wish I could fly all the time...but air travel just isn’t cheap to do Fri-Sun/Mon...

A next weekend flight (we never know when we want to go to Vegas)
As well as one six months in advance...

When you’re down $5000; you tend to go for the throat with the next $1000...
Unfortunately at downtown boyd we couldn’t keep a table..people get buying in/cashing out jumping tables
At Aria is was much better as people bought in a good amount and rode out the variance...no $20 ballers and $5 Frankie’s

Staley was a one of a kind, irreplaceable voice, but the guy they have now does come as close as possible.

Thanks for the report @TIMSPEED .
Many of my trips are like this, you just couldn't win anything, anywhere.
    There are always next time.

I love me some Layne and Mike Starr. Saw them three times when the originals were all together and breathing.

In fact, they were a no-name band who opened the show on a tour with Anthrax, Megadeth and Slayer back in 1991 when I first saw them at Red Rocks. The crowd threw bottles and shit at them while on stage and I left the show thinking they were the best band on the bill (and I love those other three bands).

As long as Jerry is there, this is still a terrific band and all three post-Staley albums have been solid (have seen them twice over the last few years...still terrific live).

Eating lunch at Sinful Subs out in Summerlin.
Thinking about firing a bullet into Red Rock to see if we can strike some gold.
Watching the traffic, looks stupid right now..with a 90 minute delay between Jean and Stateline!
The usual non-LA crush is 7 hours, but google is saying 8:19 right now...bleh
Well probably jump when it says under 8 hours.

I love Pizza Rock but that above pizza looks extremely under cooked.
