Great lunch at Estiatorio Milos and then the variance monster reared it’s ugly head. $600 down getting to the needed coin-in for the summer drawing tonight. Only good bonus was the below on Fire Link.
Three Monty games going on the bridge between Caesars and Bellagio. Never seen them clustered like that before, didn’t seem like anyone was biting just a lot of fake noise.
Identity had caught up to our play and once again our loss has been remarkably consistent to prior trips as of this point. Down 1600 on 7000 coin-in. Last two trips were between 20-25% loss when all was said and done.
Somehow my single entry did not get pulled as one of the 24 winners for tonight’s drawing. Thought that was a sure thing. This trip has been a great reminder of what makes traveling with others successful. Unfortunately we ignored all that advice we’d usually give others. See if their budget makes sense with yours, plan some big events so there is at least an outline going in, understand what each party likes to get out of their travel, and give everyone some space to do their own thing for a while. We’re in Vegas, so we’re still having fun but we will be much more careful next time we come with others. On a positive note, Lardo kicks ass and I continue to be astounded by the fact that everyone new outlet we try at Cosmo just crushes. Had the Porchetta and Dirty Fries back in the room.
More drink ticket issues at the Sports Book and an unsuccessful attempt at Fortune Cup did not turn luck around tonight. Today was not the day for us, at least the view is always a winner.
Cosmo has have had issues with random units for years spitting out tickets. Hopefully this isn't a systematic change for the worse. I'll probably be finding out for myself in four weeks. Hope your luck turns with both wins and drink tickets!
The others fly out tonight, and I’d be lying if I didn’t say I am a bit relieved. Having to account for others has really thrown us off our groove. Going up to Mirage to use our Secret Garden comps with them and then maybe back here to take them China Poblano for lunch. Don’t know about the gambling plan for today. Might save the last slot push here at Cosmo for after their departure, not sure the separated gambling budget I outlined is going to hold. Also, these chocolates from the Grand Canal Shops are great.
Really branching out. Another breakfast at District. Hard to understand why Cosmo waited so long to create something like Block 16.
They really need more shade at Secret Garden and I feel bad for folks that spend the $22 for a ticket.
Converted $50 Konami free play to $65 so that was a positive. Also tried our luck with the $20 loss rebate at Casino Royale, which netted $5. These plays are giving me flashbacks to my first trips out of college when I was terrified of losing money. I’ve spent way more time walking back and forth to Harrah’s to watch my sibling play a handful of .50 spins on this machine then any human ever should. Really getting the sense of how a more “normal” visitor gambles.
Continuing the dirtbag visitor theme. Stopped at the sports book and played 5 hands, got our beers, and walked. Hop Valley Bubble Stash is pretty delicious.
Miss Behave Game Show was great fun. If you’re sick of the same Cirque or variety shows, this will be a huge breath of fresh air. Unique concept pulled off by two great performers. Meant to take some pics during the show, but I was so engaged I didn’t end up taking any. Grabbed some Pok Pok and Lardo for dinner on the way back up to the room.
Wife is getting a massage, I’m trying not to get murdered in the Jockey Club laundry room. Seems fair.
