Looking forward to the rest of your report. Thanks for coming back to finish it.
Great report and pictures. Thanks for taking
the time to post them all. Enjoyed it!!
Day 4 - A trip to Mandalay Bay to start the day!
So day 4 we decided to Uber it to Mandalay Bay as we have not spent much time here at all in the 4 previous times we had been. Ate at the Seabreeze Cafe, decent food and enjoyed the coffee.
After breakfast my wife wanted to check out the Shark Reef so she bought 3 tickets. Didn't like the fact we paid full price as you can get them cheap elsewhere but it was a spur of the moment thing. Here are a few pictures.
Overall it was OK, probably would not do it again. Decided to hit up some sluts and then boom, power outage. It was out for about 40 minutes or so, very strange being in a giant place like Mandalay and have the power go out.
Decided to walk around a bit more after the power came on and head to the Luxor and Excal, again because we have barely spent any time at those hotels.
Really wanted to check out this place but it was closed.
Took the tram to Excal and decided to go to The Park again to check out BeerHaus. Had Not your Fathers Rootbeer for the first time.
Cannot remember what beer this was I ordered, i know it was an IPA.
After this I didn't seem to take many pictures until later on when we went to Gordon Ramsay Steak in Paris, overall I was pretty impressed with the food. The place is very loud though, and no, I didn't get to try the sticky toffee pudding because I was way too full after eating the famous Beef Wellington.
Weird "art" depicting Gordon Ramsay's hand gestures while making Beef Wellington. I don't buy it...
Christina, winner of season 10 on Hells Kitchen hanging out. I think she runs the Gordon Ramsay Pub in Caesars now?
A few random pics
After dinner we had a groupon to see the Las Vegas Live Comedy Club at PH, the resident comedian is Edwin San Juan and he was hilarious. Really small venue but so worth it. Didn't take a picture of him for some reason.
After the show we decided to make our way back to The Linq for some gambling, stopped by Flamingo and ran into a lady I used to work with who retired recently.
Played Roulette at an actual table (non video) for the first time ever, that was fun. Not a big gambler and never play table games but I had a blast. Bought in for $50 and won some money.
Decided to call it a night at 3am.
Day 5 - Our last 'full' day in Vegas.
Wife and I got up early and decided to check out Grand Lux at Venetian. Really enjoyed the meals we had and would definitely check it out again.
Decided to walk around before heading to Mirage to do a bit of gambling.
Wife and I decided to head to Fremont again at about 12:30ish.
Hit up Binions to play some VP and get our picture taken with the Million dollars, hit the 2nd of 2 quads, no idea why the picture is upside down haha.
Random pics of Binions. Also played some more Roulette. After about 45 mins I was up $80. I kept putting $2 or $3 on 19 every spin because its my favourite number/number I wear for hockey and didn't hit. When I cashed out my wife put $1 on 19 and it hit on the SECOND SPIN after I left...just my luck.
Not sure where this was taken?
Headed back to the strip and walked around.
Mr. Piff, he is hilarious, will probably check his show out at Flamingo if he is there next time I go.
Random pics of the Linq Promenade
Called it a night at probably 1 or 2am, cannot remember. As you can see the quality and quantity of the pictures started to go down.
Day 6 - The last day in Las Vegas.
Got up nice and early, flight was leaving at 4ish and had to be at the airport at 1:30ish. We decided to do one last nice breakfast at none other than Mon Ami Gabi, maybe my favourite breakfast spot in Vegas. I had the breakfast sandwhich which I usually do, so good. I got very few pictures this day as we were in a hurry to eat and check out of the hotel.
Overall out of the 5 trips this was one probably my favourite. We got a lot packed in but didn't feel rushed at all. Going with 3 people was better than expected, my buddy let the Wife and I do our own thing while there was still a good mix of all of us hanging out together. We did A LOT of walking but never felt tired or worn out. Did A LOT of drinking but never got hammered or felt hung over (thank you Hydralite). There was no one real highlight of the trip as I had fun doing everything that we did. Going to Fremont twice this trip was definitely worth it. Did ok at gambling and ended up leaving with some cash left over which I bought 2 bottles of Scotch (Ardmore and Dalmore Valour) and the wife a Guess purse at the duty free.
Thanks for reading everyone and sorry for finishing this 2 weeks late, it was my first one and I got caught up in other crap.
Viva Las Vegas, I'll leave you with one other picture of how much we moved (this is in KM)
Great report and never too late to tell us all about it.Thanks for all the pictures and glad you got to bring home money!!
