Has anyone been to 5 O’Clock Somewhere @ Flamingo during the nickel beer happy hour or to Interlude Lounge @ Cromwell during $1 martini happy hour? Do you have to battle to get to the bar to get the happy hour drink special? The price certainly can’t be beat, but if I have to be in a mosh pit to get a drink I’d rather go elsewhere.

    Thanks.

I can only speak for nickel beers. Done it many times. Some days 3 deep behind the bar. Some days not as bad but always a full bar. My group had so much fun that they planned to be there by 340ish to get a bar seat. We always had at least $5 a person ready and we would tip more throughout the hour. The bartenders definitely make some noise for those who tip and they will take care of you. There were people showing up with actual coins and would be ignored if there are lots of people. Pretty hilarious honestly. Getting a beer for nothing and actually handing over a nickel. It's still Vegas.. Act like you are tipping a drink server at the minimum. If you toss them a $5 once 4pm hits you will be good for the hour but I always find it more fun to toss the guys a $20. You and a buddy can pound 5-6 so 10-12 beers for $20 total in Vegas. It's a win and it's entertaining. I saw a couple give $100. Shots all around one side of the bar!

Crowds.. Always will vary but I'm sure weekends busier and weekdays slower as always

We didn’t make it to the nickel beer happy hour, but we did get to Interlude Lounge at Cromwell 10 minutes before six and it was nice. We sat in the lounge and a cocktail server was able to get us two rounds of the $1 martinis during the happy hour. It took about 30 minutes after she took our order to get the drinks, but the second round came much faster.

In case you try to hit up 5 O'Clock somewhere, I went by about 4:30 and asked them how it worked. The bar tender said that THAT day they were using the service bar away from the windows. So I came back at 4:50 and got on line on that side. It was pretty smooth, but it was also a weekday.

Sitting here now, pretty good crowd, not more than a couple people feel in line at any one place. Would definitely do again.[IMG]

With those 2 back to back happy hours...I'm going to need some eats probably before.

Where's a good place for supper at 4:00PM that I can be out of in time for the 5:00PM happy hour?
