I have taken markers at craps tables and relatively quickly walked away before much play at all. Sometimes I go to another table. Sometimes I cash in and go to another casino. Never had a problem.

One time, (Trop in AC) I asked for a marker at a craps table. I only had $50 cash for a buy in. I lost the $50 quick but the marker did not come through for over a half hour. The table of course got hot and I was left standing watching with my thumb up my butt. I was so pissed, as soon as I got the chips, I threw my card on the table and told them to destroy it. I took the chips to the cage and cashed them in and took them to another casino to play.

I have a marker at a CET property, and have never had an issue taking a marker at that property and using the money AT ANOTHER CET PROPERTY...Never had a word said to me, ever.

Now, if I took the marker and played none of it or only part of it at a CET property, I am sure that'd be frowned upon, but you are not bound the play only at the CET casino in which you take out the marker, but, in their mind, you ARE bound to using that marker on CET properties.

If you have a LOC at Paris and take out 2K and play it across Paris, Bally, PH and Cromwell, no one will say squat

If you take out 2K and then they only see $500 in play at CET, across the board, then they'll be miffed

I opened a LOC at Paris before a trip last August. Went to the cage to activate it but I never used it. When I go back this year (about a year after it was originally opened), will I still be able to use it? Do I need to reactivate it? Or apply for a new one?

They may have to make a call to reactivate it but nothing serious.

Oh, believe me, I lose plenty and do most of my losing at CET properties. My credit line is small and I only take out 2k at a time. I'm sure If I had the ability to pull out a large amount they would keep an eye on it, but I'm not on their radar at all and I always get my play in. This guy won't be either with a 10k line. CET looks at all your play not just where your loc is.

I may try something different this time like winning!

The casinos have to conform to Federal laws to make sure they are not acting as a bank. And, most importantly, when you take your cash from your marker, they want a chance to win it. That's the whole idea after all.

Interestingly, depending on what kind of chips they are and whom you're dealing with, they will call to verify even lower denomination chips. On New Year's I took $15K in chocolate ($5K) Planet Hollywood baccarat chips and exchanged them at Aria. It took a few minutes and they were happy to do it - just a simple phone call. The next morning I realized I still had 2 blacks from PH and didn't want to go back there to cash them, so I went down to the Aria cage. The first woman told me that they simply don't cash or exchange other properties' baccarat chips, no matter what. I said "umm...you exchanged $15K of these last night". She started to say "I'd love to meet the person who approved that" (e.g. "you're lying") but walked away mid-sentence. After she went in back and grabbed the exchange slip, apparently trying to prove I was lying, then she made a big show out of calling to verify the two blacks. It actually took me less time and hassle to exchange the $15K than the $200. So alot of it has to do with whom you're dealing with at the cage.

    You're talking about cross property.

    That's a whole different game.
