    New update today.

Level 3 can book 2 consecutive nights, level 4 can book 3 consecutive nights, and only level 5 can book 4 consecutive nights now...

Thankfully I've got four nights already booked for July, then I'm done.

I leveled up to 2 and booked my nights just before all the latest changes. I plan to use those, use the rest of my points for buffets (assuming buffets are open when I'm in Vegas, blah) But I haven't played the game in a while now.

Oh well, it was a good run while it lasted.

I booked 4 nights a couple weeks back so I beat the latest downgrade as well.
After booking a few buffets it's game over on this app for me.

Well, I'm glad I didn't pay the $ to reach level 3. I was undecided until the last moment.

At this point I will just use the existing points I have for a free buffet when I go next time and then be done with the game.

Hmmmm... I wonder what the minimum gap is between stays; this move complicated my plans to buy to Level 3 and stay at least a few nights each at Wynn and Cosmo (the latter using Delta Vacations w/ SkyMiles, or AMEX points/FHR) for my birthday, but by how much? :hmmm: lolsob always gotta be something with Wynn Slots :haha::cry:

Me too!!! This change was obviously timed until after people did fork over the money to get to Level 3. If you did that hopefully you booked your 4 nights right away.

I was still planning to just suck it up and pay the $200 to get to Level 3 for a 4 night stay next year. Now that is not even possible. Makes no sense to do that for a 2 night stay. Boy did I waste a lot of time on this game for nothing. Fortunately only spent $15 cashing piggy banks to get to Level 2. So I guess I can still use points to buy buffets when I am in LV next week - unless they follow the MGM approach and close their buffet due to the coronavirus :)

It’s almost as if the app developers are deliberately discouraging us to use the app. All incentives have now been removed. And with all that’s going on in the world seems more than a little odd, not to say possibly shortsighted.

I say this because it’s virtually pointless to spin once you have earned enough gems for your chosen two rooms, therefore halving the time one might have previously spent on the app. Secondly it’s no longer beneficial or cost effective to part pay for your stay by purchasing the necessary ‘top up’ VIP points. Now the only way to use the app to obtain a room is to buy the VIP points needed - or not bother at all.

The apps original designed use has been transformed, so I’m wondering quite what the app is good for now, apart from possibly existing players using up what they have already earnt. For a newcomer, I can’t see much that can be gained from getting involved with Wynn slots.

All the app is good for now is to earn a few buffet meals at a very modest discount. Whether it’s worth it is a personal judgement.

I have previously defended the app because spending $200 plus some spare time to earn 4 night in a five star venue seemed a good deal. To do this for just a two night stay doesn’t compute. The maths just don’t work anymore.

This, together with the worldwide health issue we all face will do nothing to fill the empty rooms that will inevitably and unfortunately be the feature of Vegas (and plenty of other places) in 2020.

Or have I completely misjudged the situation? Is there still any upside to using the app?

At the moment, there is no minimum gap. You can make another booking at 4 pm PST on the last day of your stay. In theory, if the days are available and you have the gems, you could string several stays together.

Well this is a very disappointing development - time to reconsider the amount of time inputted especially at level 131

Woke up to the most disappointing update yet... and that's a tall order. What a way to start a day.

With today's update, consecutive nights are reduced for VIP3 and VIP4.

So as one of the mods in the FB group noted, it actually gets *more* expensive to buy up for more nights, at least if you're only doing one stay per buy-up. Which is probably many to most players.

As usual, no grandfathering, and lots of angry players. Especially those who bought up recently.

I think that between decimating the VIP point earning scheme, moving room reservations up to VIP3 and above, and reducing what VIP3 and VIP4 can do, it's the beginning of the end for the game for many to most players.

The wording of the limitation is "consecutive nights". So I would not take the chance that that is in one booking, and you could essentially add a consecutive night on checkout day.

It is officially no longer a game for free stuff, and now just for people who want to play such a game for fun. And those people will face choices down the road on whether a spend to unlock their gem earning makes sense, but I am thinking it probably won't.

Rewards could end up limited to those addicts buying chips for the sake of buying them. Which makes financial sense for Wynn, but certainly sucks for players and anyone who did not get value out when they could.

In the meantime, the game has been zeroing me out so aggressively I will probably just earn up to my 3rd buffet for my April trip. Too annoying to keep rebuilding and too much chance of finishing short of the mark for the 4th. 219 gems then im out of this game.

*assuming I can still go to 4 buffets as a level 2 by the time the app has updated in april, which is no lock.

I downloaded it about a week ago to give it a shot and once I hit study hall and the library for 8 hours deciphering the code to get anything for free from this app, it's just not worth it. I deleted it before playing for more than a day. MyVegas is infinitely better. Not sure about CR's app yet.

Wow, as if the recent changes weren’t harsh enough!

Luckily I achieved level 4 before the update and had enough gems to book 4 consecutive nights for August. I then got up to level 5 before my VIP points were cut.

I guess the moral of the story is (or was in most cases now) time is of the essence! I’m so glad I didn’t wait as I originally planned to do.

So the $200 spend people calculated I guess now goes up if you want more than 2 nights. Not good. I guess you still get a big discount over booking the rooms directly but MyVEGAS even with resort fees and their restrictions on Premium awards now seems so much more attractive.

These new changes are incredibly kooky. Not sure what else to say, but the game has gone downhill fast!

Sadly the $200 in-game spend to achieve two nights is not even a discount if you ask me. After signing up for a Red Card (with no play on the card), I would get offers for $139/night rooms with buffet for two included.

To clarify, I was thinking of bookending three nights at Cosmo with two nights before and two nights after at Wynn; does the app even allow one to book multiple reservations, regardless of the time between them?

Nope. Your first reservation has to be complete before you can book another.

I was lucky that I was able to get my 4 nights in for October/November with only 130 spend. Now if they open up the buffet calendar for those months I'll have my meals as well.

You'll only be able to lock in 2 buffets even if they open it.
