I have a $100 gift card to use during our December trip. I've never been to any of the restaurants on the list, and was hoping VMB members would provide some insight. I know that $100 won't get me far at some places, but looking for a memorable meal for me and the wife. We don't care about fancy, more important is the food / atmosphere / experience.

    Here's the list:

    Eiffel Tower restaurant @ Paris
El Segundo Sol @ Fashion Show Mall
Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab @ Forum Shops
    Mon Ami Gabi @ Paris
Strip Burger @ Fashion Show Mall

I've always used my LEYE gift cards/certs at Mon Ami (breakfast or lunch) and Joes (dinner).

These are my two favs in Vegas (and among my favs at home too!).

I've been to all of them and been back a few times to each . They're all very good. I'd get dressed up and go to Eiffel Tower restaurant for dinner. Or if it is warm out, MAG for breakfast on the patio. Those two are probably the most "memorable". Food at Joe's is very good and The second sun is very good if you want some casual Mex. The tacos from the truck are awesome.

Lettuce is the last food item I think of when I hear the words "entertain" and "restaurants" :)
I would use that gift cert more towards a richer dining experience in dinner options than a breakfast experience. So even though you may spend a tad more than the cert amt at stone crab, hopefully it will be a cert well spent and feels like a gift.

    For value, choose MAG.

    For setting, choose ETR.

    For food, choose Joe's.

Temperature permitting, my vote would be for breakfast on the patio at Mon Ami. Hard to beat the atmosphere and their food is outstanding. And they make an excellent bellini!

At my former church we had a gardening group called "Lettuce Pray."

Come to think of it, I think my making fun of them is one of the major reasons it's my former church!

Tie between MAG and ETR for me!

Excellent advice, thank you all! I've narrowed it down to breakfast a MAG, or dinner at Joe's. Probably need a reservation at both!

Yep, reserv. Last time at Joe, our server was the one that told us about lettuce. He also suggest us to order the hash browns with our fish. Best advice I've had in awhile. A great choice. Not your ihop hash browns.

I realize the cheese stands alone here since no one has mentioned it, but I would highly recommend El Segundo Sol.

We went for lunch here while waiting for our hotel room to be ready and sat outdoors. The atmosphere was nice, but the food was GREAT, especially for the price. When I went inside to the washroom and saw how cute and quaint the atmosphere was inside the restaurant, we decided to go back for our anniversary dinner.

We went all out on the night of our anniversary dinner and had appetizers, tequila tasting flights, and then main courses and a bottle of wine inside the restaurant. The atmosphere was charming with the twinkly lights, cozy booth, AMAZING food, and it wasn't too busy. It was extremely romantic and intimate and the atmosphere was special.

Mon Ami Gabi was cool and busy, and the Eiffel Tower would have been great if we could afford it, but for atmosphere, food, and experience for value, I would highly recommend a dinner at El Segundo Sol. We'll be going back in January!

    Have fun!

You can't make reservation for the patio at MAG but they will give you a buzzer and you go play some slots while you wait.
