Picked this new series of Circus Circus chips up a couple of weeks ago whilst in Vegas. Not my favorite design by any stretch. CC has had some really cool chips in the past....these, not so much.
This pisses me off... not because you got these new chips haha But because I was just in Vegas and wanted to make a stop at CC but didn't because I didn't really have any specific reason to. Had I known these new chips were out I would have stopped and grabbed one. Damnit.
This new version took me a little bit by surprise. In 2018 they came out with 30th anniversary $1 & $5 chips as well as a new version of their $1 chips. If only they would stay as current on the carpet in the casino they’d be on a roll...
I normally don't collect black chips but I have a feeling this will be the last issue of chips from CC, at least the version of CC we all know and 'love', so I figured I had better get one. I forgot to pick this chip up when I was in there in December when I got the $1, $5 and $25s. Special thanks to @FormallyTD for being nice enough to risk body and limb and going to CC to help me out with my collection.
CC really made some nice chips on the reissue (besides the inlay). Love the 4v18 on the hundo but wish it was the THC mold too!
Fantastic collection Mike - BTW do you know which of your Luxor chips below is from opening day? is it top left or bottom left? can't seem to find a definitive answer....
@andyg99, here is a link from the Chip Guide. The dates of the chip issues are to the right of the chip pics. http://chipguide.themogh.org/cg_chip2.php?id=NVLVLU&v=447889074
I see lots people loading pics of video poker or slot winning photos but I don’t see any pics of table game chips .... so I will start mine of course it’s not always wining photos But just want see some table game chips!! Mine is from 3/11 at Aria playing baccarat I was in for around $7k and thank goodness I end up breaking even played for like 5 hours
from a couple weeks ago. I had more at one point this past weekend, but alas, no pic. I rarely take chip pics as I forget as to caught up in the moment
I can only add to my collection if I have played a table game. Middle row is custom chips I had made awhile ago.
First time "racking it up", thanks to one blazing hot shooter, then his almost as hot GF.. in the background is my silly come out bet that didn't fail so bad this time. Yes, I want prettier colors next time, this was in over my head $10 or 15 min.
here’s one more pic from aria other night just love the pics of chips lots and lots matter fact tons of chips
Picked up a few chips over the past month for my collection. The LV Hilton chip is fairly easy to get but I’m always on the lookout for chips from this era. This next chip is a little harder to find but I got it because the one I currently have for this casino is in pretty rough shape. This last chip is by far the hardest to acquire chip I have in my collection. Al Cooper’s Beachcomber was a strip casino that was scheduled to open in 1951 but they ended up not getting their casino license approved. There are only a hundred, or so, of these out there. So glad to finally snag one, chip on the top of the chip be damned. Al Cooper eventually opened up Al Cooper’s Polynesia in 1951, somewhere between the Sahara and DI.
